Alexander

I just watched her. The way her eyes looked at me with such a burning confusion, her hair tumbling in silky locks onto her forehead, but it was that illegible expression on her face that baffled me the most.

The Godfather? Seriously? How can that…

‘Mia,’ I called out softly, getting her attention, ‘Mia, my love, what do you think I am?’ I cautiously asked, hoping for the best.

‘I-I think… I think you are a mafia boss,’ she spilled out, equally as cautious as me.

‘What?’ I chuckled lightly, somewhat relived that she hadn’t guessed my secret, but judging from her reaction, I was afraid what she would do when I told her what I actually was. This really was not how I pictured telling her…

‘It all makes sense Alexander!’ she huffed, throwing a pillow in my direction as she got off the bed.

‘You always know when I am lying; you always know where I am! Not to mention that you have a supposed “family business”! I mean that is the most obvious code for illegal mob business! And you claimed you were born like that! Oh and how could I forget, that day I answered your phone and this dude was talking about “territory” and “killing the rogue” like what the hell Alexander! How could you expect me to be with you after all of this? I have a job, one that I love! And my job requires a lot of media attention! What if the tabloids found out that I am seeing a mob boss! A criminal! They would have a field day! I would lose all my contracts and-’

‘Enough!’ I cut her off in the middle of her little rant, loving the fact that she was pacing around the room in nothing but her tiny bra and panty. ‘Mia, love, that is such a stupid reason not to love me,’ I chuckled at her adorableness.

‘This isn’t funny!’ she yelled at me like an angry kitten that believed it was a tiger. ‘What if you get caught? What if you are sent to jail?’

‘That’s never going to happen my love because I am not a mafia boss,’ I stated calmly, watching her expression change from flaming anger to numb confusion.

‘Wait, what?’ she asked me, tilting her head slightly to the side.

‘You heard me love, I am not a mob boss or any criminal of that sort,’ I told her.

‘T-then how can you do all of those things and t-that p-phone call! He said… k-killing!’ she mumbled incoherently, shaking her heard slightly with a small frown creasing her forehead.

She looked up at me, staring deeply into my eyes before saying, ‘What are you Alexander? I-I just don’t get it… you said… Twilight…’ she muttered to herself, ‘you said Twilight!’

I sighed, wishing that I could just delay the events that were about to occur, wishing that I could just grab her and pull her next to me, rip off those useless undergarments and just make raw passionate love to her. But I knew it is just too soon for that, so I just had to except my situation. I wouldn’t even mind settling on holding her, just simply having her safe and protected in my arms because that is enough for me right now.

‘Alexander?’ she asked, snapping me out of my thoughts.

‘Yes?’ I asked, hoping she had figured this out.

‘Are you a vampire?’ she finally rushed out in a short breath.

I looked at her with so much amusement in my eyes; this girl is so cute! I let out a small laugh, the corners of my lip crinkling up.

‘Love, I am most certainly not a vampire!’ I told her.

Mia giggled and sat next to me on the bed, a small smile edging on her lips.

‘Oh thank goodness! I mean for a minute there I thought I was going crazy and actually believed that you were a bloodsucker!’ she sighed in relief.

I laughed at her cuteness, only to be joined by her melodious giggle.

I slowly leaned in and placed a soft delicate peck on top of her lips, loving the tingles that spread across my body.

‘Wait, so Alexander, if you aren’t a mafia boss or a vampire then what are you?’ she asked.

‘A werewolf.’
