After being dragged around by Jordyn it was finally time to get a wand and then go to Gringotts. "My sister said to go to knockturn Ally' and go to QV's wands. She said they are hand made." Jordyn said randomly as she turned and dragged Harry somewhere. He sighed, it was times like these that made him yearn to see.

"Can you slow down!" He asked as he stumbled around a corner and almost fell, "I don't need a wand anyway, I can do wandless magic."

She chuckled, "So, you're goin' too Hogwarts an' people'll think your weird and cocky for not having a wand, so come on! Lets go get you a stick!" She yelled as she opened a door, and pulled him through. Harry felt relief when he felt the cool air hit his face. The crowded streets out side had made him want to just curl up and hide, so the relief of getting away from so many people was evident.

Since he was away from the streets he turned his special sight back on. He was comforted by the sight of Jordyn's aura and noticed that the only other aura was a light purple.

"Hello!" A female voice, belonging to the purple aura, chirped. "I'm Amethyst and welcome to QV's Wand Shop! Are you here for a hand made wand or would you like to pick from our selection of already made ones?" Amethyst said in one breath. Harry liked the name Amethyst... It matched her aura.

Harry wasn't sure what to choose so he stayed quiet and let Jordyn answer for him.

"We would like both please." Jordyn replied as she walked around, her aura mixing a little with Amethyst's, creating a beautiful lilac color.

"Okay, follow me please." Amethyst said as she turned and started walking. Jordyn hurried over and grabbed Harry's hand, gently pulling him after the woman.

"We should get you a cane." Jordyn announced, her blue aura shifting slightly as it often does when she thinks. "Ya, once we find out what the wood of your wand will be, we can have a cane made."

Harry kept quiet and just nodded. It was a pretty good idea and he was pretty sure any design she came up with would be brilliant... He just wished he would see it, if it was made.

"Well here we are." Amethyst called as Harry heard the tell all click of a door opening. "The wand maker is just behind this door," she hesitated, "Just know he's a little... eccentric..."

She left, closing the door gently as she left, drawing Harry's eyes to the bright yellow aura humming in a corner.

"Helloooo! I'm Skadrim Sharma, how are you beauties?" He didn't let them answer as he kept talking, "Here for a wand? Ha, and of course you are, this is a wand shop after all!" Skadrim busted into hysterical laughter as his aura came closer. Harry just stood there uncertain of what to do, his mind fluttered and he sensed the presence of Maji in his mind.

"Yes, now how will this work? I see the woods on the wall and some stuff on the other, but how will that make a wand?" Jordyn asked as her blue aura drifted away from Harry's.

*Hello child.* Harry heard in his head and shivered as a small tingle ran down his spine.

*Hello Maji, how are you today?* he asked, tuning out of the weird conversation Jordyn and the wand maker were having. He didn't even want to know how they had gotten on the topic of whether bat wings tasted better than pig eyes.

A small tinkle of laughter echoed in his mind, the beautiful wind chime sound making a sigh of happiness leave his lips. *The same as everyday, my child. I have come to help you with your wand. The wand maker will have some trouble creating it and I don't want him to screw it up.* She said, in her mellifluous° voice as Harry laughed a little.

He stepped up to the aura of the wand maker who was in a conversation over how best to cook flobberworms and tapped him. Skadrim turned, his bright yellow aura looking weird next to Jordyn's, and exclaimed.

"Oh! I totally forgot! Wands! Well just step to the left and run your hands over the woods.
Fine the ones you feel connected to, and tell me, while you do that I'll finish my enlightening conversation with your delightful mother!" He said as he turned Harry to the left and went back to Jordyn.

Harry sighed and ran his hand over the wall. Feeling a pull to a few, he pulled them out and set them in the floor.

"Done already?" Skadrim said as he approached Harry. "Quebracho, Lignum Vitae (great for charms), Snakewood (great for dark arts and transfusion), and Gidgee. All very strong woods and all very powerful. Quebracho is actually called axe breaker sometimes and snake wood is one of the strongest and most expensive woods in the world. Now do it again and pick out only the strongest connection. After that go to the other side and pick out your core the same way." He said as he left, again...

Harry shook his head and reached out with his magic, letting Maji guide him to his wood. He felt a sense of hiraeth° as his magic connected with his woods, and felt sadness as he quickly brought the three woods to him. He felt like he was missing something...

*You've connected to your woods but your cores are missing. You will feel hiraeth until they are merged together. I did not let gidgee come with the other three woods as it would have unbalanced it.* She explained when Harry asked her.

Harry nodded and Maji floated the woods behind him as he turned towards the other side of the room. *Thank you.*

*It's Okay child,* She replied as she stopped Harry so he didn't bump into the core wall. *I'll warn you now, when your wand is created, you will... get a gift. It will activate at midnight and it will hurt. I recommend putting up a silencing charm this time.*

Harry thanked her as he remembered his new attributes and how weird it felt having them go back inside him, and the agonizing pain that had to create balance. After all, there is no reward without work, and for him, that work was pain.

Harry sighed and shook his head, running his hand along the wall and letting the magic pull him to his cores. Maji gently floated the cores that strung his magic the strongest and sent a vibration to the magic of the wand maker, catching his attention and making him walk over to her chosen one.

"Done already? Crushed black diamond with cat splinters, vial of basilisk venom, and two Griffin fangs. Interesting combination. Snakewood and Griffin fangs react poorly when combined and may sometimes exploded!" He said enthusiastically, not even worried about the explosion it might cause. Harry nodded wondering what his gift might be.

*Don't worry child. You will be very happy with the outcome...* Amusement clouded her voice as she read his thoughts.

He shook his head and smiled. Maji was the only one he had ever loved. Not romantically of course! He didn't even love Jordyn, he only felt a sense of fondness for her... She was a squib, almost like a filthy muggle but she had magical blood so she had some worth and she took care of him.

"Okay, how long will this take? And how much?" Harry asked.

"About two hours and about 14 galleons."

Harry turned to Jordyn's aura and walked over to her. She grabbed his hand and started pulling him out of the wand maker's work room.
