Chapter 10

When Claire got to Tina's office, she knocked on the door

" Come in." Said Tina

Claire walked in " Hey Tina, you wanted to see me?"

Tina nodded " Yes I did. Please sit."

Claire sat down in the chair and looked around the room.

Tina looked at Claire " Claire, are you okay?"

" Yes, I'..."

"Please don't say that your fine because if you were you wouldn't be sitting in my office in a treatment center in Chicago. So I'm going to ask again."

Claire nodded

 " Are you okay?"

Claire shook her head

" What's wrong? The doctor told me you had a bad dream before you came here. What was it about?"

Claire started shaking her head rapidly " No, I can't tell you. It's too embarrassing."

Tina shook her head " Claire, you are here to get help so that means you have to talk about what happened that brought you here and about your past. So what was your dream about?"

Claire sighed and a tear welled up in her eyes " It was about my birth father"

Tina sat in a chair across from Claire " What happened between you and your birth father in your dream?"

Claire started crying " He w-wanted to p-play a game w-we used to play when I was l-little. I never wanted to play but I was so scared of him and what he might do, I was forced to play, it hurt, it always did."

Tina nodded " Claire, did your father rape you?"

Claire nodded

" Did you tell your mom?"

Claire shook her head " How could I she was already dealing with that fact he would hit her very chance he was drunk and trying to protect me and my older sister from him. I couldn't add on that my birth father was raping me for years."

Tina sighed " does your mom know now?"

Claire nodded " He was mean and nasty. He was also sick, he was schizophrenic, we found out he died a couple of years ago, he never got treatment, he could've been a better man, better father if he got treatment but he didn't."

Tina nodded " Do you miss him?"

Claire shrugged " Sometimes I think I hate him but he was still my father at the end of the day. I just don't know if I could ever forgive him for what he did to me."

Tina nodded "We will get back to that subject later. Now lets talk about your past."

Claire chuckled " That was a big part of my past."

Tina nodded " I know but besides from that, what else happened in your past that made you into the person you are today?"

Claire started thinking " When I was younger I was getting bullied"

" Why?"

Claire chuckled " Does anyone ever know why they are getting bullied? Well I asked before I left that school, they told me Because you're fat I walked out  after that and I never saw them again until they found out that I was famous and doing a music video for a song on my first album. They asked if the could be in it."

" What did you say?"

Claire's eyes widen " What you think I said, I said no. They I asked security and escort them off the set so we can work. After that came the cyber bulling from them and multiple other people I didn't know. I had to read that everyday and it broke me down till the point I was numb and I didn't feel and anything."

Tina nodded

"I thought everyone was against me, I was really paranoid. I cut everyone off people that really cared about me like my cast, friends, family, and a real special guy."

Tina smiled " Would his name be Rico?"

Claire's head snapped up " How did you know?"

Tina laughed " He has been here more than your parents have. I mean he comes every weekend, comes Saturday leaves Sunday. Did you notice that?"

Claire smiled and nodded " Yea, I did. He really does care about me and I really care about him."

Tina nodded " Do you love him?"

Claire just stared at Tina and thought

Do I love Rico? 

Maybe I do, he was always there when I needed him.  

When I had fights with my parents he would let me stay at his place.

Could I actually love him?
