Jaxon came home first.

I could smell him before he made it halfway to the door. I ran upstairs and hid in a closet, making haste to shift back. I ran to him, meeting up with him on the stairs.

"Hey girl, how are you? Did you have fun today?" He still had his backpack on, but he knelt down to pet me. He seemed huge. But I wasn't complaining about seeing his face in detail.

When he touched me I wanted to purr, but I couldn't really. I must have sounded like I was growling a little bit because his hand shot off my head.

I looked at him sadly and whined.

He shook his head, a little aprehensive, and continued up the steps to his bedroom. I followed him.

He laughed when I tripped over my feet trying to catch up to him. I glared at him. The glare slowly melted off when he started taking off his shirt.

He's going to undress in front of me! Despite the real issue with my desire, I knew I couldn't possibly watch him. I glanced around, and finally dove onto the bed and under the covers. Jaxon didn't seem to care.

When he was done he fell onto the bed. "Today was a long day, Angel." I stuck my head out, and happy to see him with his arms wide, I dug myself into his side.

"You know, it's really nice to have a dog. We never had one before and I never really cared for one, but you're a cutie. And you smell good, which is really weird for a dog I guess... but it's good because I don't have to wash my sheets now."

There was a silence. "Shit, you probably have to go, don't you?" He looked concerned. "Please don't pee on my sheets." I put my paws on his chest, then I dug my claws in a little.

"Oh jeez, we need to get a clipper don't we." He sat up, leaving me without contact. I was too tired to get up.

How was I supposed to fake going to the washroom? How was I going to escape the clippers!?

Don't get up-please don't-no...

I sighed. I got up and followed Jaxon to where he was heading. No surprise, he made his way into the kitchen and grabbed an apple. I yipped at him, trying to get his attention. I don't have a life anymore because of you. Give me your attention.

Jaxon was otherwise occupied. He checked his phone, frowned, and then sent a text someone. Who is it? Did he have a girlfriend?

He looked me in the eye. "If your friend starts acting... funny, how do you tell them to back off without quite...being an asshole?"

Acting funny? I started spazing out. Jaxon took one look at me and burst out laughing. "You are a hilarious breed. I don't know where they make you but you sure have dancing abilities." I stopped.

I cocked my head at him. He was laughing at me? I started growling. :
"Oh jeez, don't take it so seriously."

Jaxon stopped, looked seriously at the counter, and then whispered, "Am I talking to my dog?" He looked at me, and louder he said, "Is this normal?"

Jaxon, looking confused, took his apple and made his way to the couch. He plopped himself down and seemed to contemplate life. I made my into his lap.

"You are a really smart dog. That, or I'm crazy."
