So this story is supposed to be SHORT. It's a SHORT story. But I know I didn't do a great job filling in all the holes.
Here was the idea. This girl gets lost in the woods, people pick her up and she stays with her mate. For like a few days. She's just like on the other side of this huge forest so she got real lost and is like 2 hours away from her pack.
She calls her dad because she doesn't want him to think she's been eaten- her dad's like "ah she's run off with her mate" and thinks he'll go introduce himself in a few days (he believes in fate y'know).
Whereas Angel is a hormonal teenager trying to figure herself out, making obvious connections with Jaxon, but also intimidated by not belonging to his world. She has a moment where she thinks she's stupid to try and force this guy into her culture (pretty much) and decides to run away.
She suffers paralysis the doctor's don't know why really but they slap it up to infection and her dad botches results. Actually it's the hole giving up on your mate thing and a mix of staying as a wolf for so long (big size difference) #justwolfythings
Her brother's like "i gotchu" and befriends her mate, of course they got on like wildfire and when he sees "Nora" again he realizes some shit is up but decides he's happy on a need-to-know basis. Keep in mind- at this point he clearly feels for her.
Then one night they have an intruder or attacker and Jaxon literally has a broken arm so Emi is like I'm gonna check it out (because she thinks it's a werewolf business thing not a 911 thing) is surprised to find a man with a knife and does what have to be done.
Jaxon doesn't see her shift but sees her covered in blood. He needs time to process because he's just a kid who's been in an ordeal. He comes back upset that she didn't text him first.
They make up and things get resolved. Happily ever after. Thanks
