Chapter Twenty Two

"Mama?" My other two sons walked into my home.

I smiled, my old heart soaring with happiness to have four of my children back in my home. To have part of my family together.

"Lucca!" I beamed at my bushy tailed brown haired son.

"Hello mama." He placed a soft kiss to my cheek.

"Nathaniel." I greeted my other son warmly, his black hair a wild mess on the top of his head.

"Hey mom." He smiled.

"I'm so happy you both are here." I wiped a tear from the corner of my eyes.

"Come on mom we just seen you this morning when we dropped my kids off." Lucca laughed.

"I know." I smiled, tears still in my eyes. "I'm just happy to have at least four of my children here."

"Were always here mama." Nathaniel gave me a hug.

He was my only child that didn't have kids of his own. Sadly, he had playboy ways with women. As much as I frowned upon him for it, he was stubborn. Much like his father.

"Mama, please finish telling us the story." Kaylin asked.

"Hello brothers." Alvin welcomed his two youngest brothers.

"Yo." Nathaniel grinned.

"Tsk tsk sis," Lucca snickered, "Where is your little brothers hug?"

Kaylin held in her smile, "When you start acting like little brothers and not older brothers."

Lucca and Nathaniel rolled their eyes at her. Kaylin being my third child never stopped her younger siblings from being protective of her. Since all the things she went threw... I forced the dark thoughts away.

"So children would you like to hear the rest of my story?" I laughed at them.

Alvin had Lucca in a chock hold, while Nathaniel messed up Kaylins hair.

"Same story as always?" Nathaniel's eyes gleamed.

I nodded, my smile widening.

My hands shook and was sweaty. I was about to go up on stage and sing my heart out to a sea of people.

"Breathe Lyrical." My Garret smiled, knowingly.

I nodded, taking a long drink of cold water.

"You will do great." Mr. Garret reassured. "Nothing to be worried over."

I nodded again, "Where is Ashton? He said he would meet me here."

Ashton's uncle glaze hardened, "Don't worry over my nephew. Concentrate on yourself."

I sighed, my nerves high with worry. I closed my eyes and calmed my breathing. Heart beating normal, I went over my performance in my head. Everything I had practiced, everything I have learned.

"Lyrical?" Mr. Garrett spoke, "Your up."

I nodded, and made my way onto the stage. Giving a performance of a life time.
