There's Always Second Chances

It's been about 2 months since I've known Taylor and I can honestly say she is my bestfriend something about us just clicks and we're so much alike and she understands all of my endless fangirling! Taylor introduced me to her friend Maya who is going to SLFL with her and I'm so excited to meet both of them!

School has ended thankfully but I'm still upset that I have to move away from my school and all my friends. I'm sure I'll like StillWater but it won't ever compare to home. We leave tomorrow, all of our stuff has already been moved into our house ahead of time during the spring so that it was easier and wasn't as hot outside. I feel my phone buzz so I pick it up from my bedside table.
-Lauren- Ready to go?
-Macy- You know it!
-Lauren- K. I'll be right over!
-Macy- I'll be here!
Today since it was my last day me and my friends from school decided that we were going to go out and do something fun.

"Macy I'm here!" Lauren shouted from downstairs.
"You can come up!" I yelled back.

"Hey what's up?" She said from the doorway of my bathroom.
"Just last minute touch ups." I responded trying to fix my mascara before we left.

"C'mon we've only got one day!"
"Ok ok I'm coming!" I replied. Quickly putting my mascara back in a jar filled with other make up.

"So how do you feel about laser tag, walking canal, and then shopping?" Lauren asked. Everybody agreed and we went on our way.

We got to the laser tag place and it was a blast being that I've never played laser tag before. After leaving we walked down the canal, had some ice cream, watched a boat come in, and then went shopping.

Sadly the day had to come to an end and I had to say goodbye to my friends one that I've known practically all my life and other school friends. I will admit that I did start to cry a little but what do you expect when I'm moving hours away?

"Guys I don't want to leave." I frowned
"We don't want you to leave either but just think about it this is really good for your mom and you can always talk to us whenever you want." Ellie responded. I smiled.That did make me feel a little better. She always knows what to say which is one of the many reasons I'm glad that we're such good friends.

"Well I guess I have to go guys..." We all hugged, as I was walking inside they all said "see you later!"
"See you later!" I responded.

I woke up the next day to an empty bedroom and blank walls, forgetting that I had already packed everything so that we could leave right away in the morning. And that we did, my mom and I were now in Minneapolis we are apparently very close to our new house according to the GPS.

We pulled into the driveway and instantly all i could think was "well I can't go back now. This is it this is my home now." I got out of the car and walked up to the front unlocking it with the key my mom gave me. It was nice it actually kind of looked like our old house and that comforted me, I'm sure my mom did that on purpose. I looked out the window and noticed a girl outside she was really pretty maybe I should introduce myself later...my mom then walked in interrupting my thought.

"Your room is up the stairs second door to the right just like before." She smiled at me. Knowing that I was pleased that she tried this hard to make it feel like home.

"Thank you mom, love you." I smiled back at her. I walked upstairs and she was right just like before.

I started to unpack boxes that had been placed in my room deciding that after a while I would go introduce myself to the people across the street.

After unpacking two boxes I realized I forgot to text Taylor she told me to text her once I got here.

-Macy- I'm here!
-Taylor- we are now 2 hours closer:)
-Macy- In a month we'll be 0 hours away and I'm very excited!
-Taylor- Me too!
-Macy- I'm going to go introduce myself to the neighbors across the street I'll text you when I get back.
-Taylor- ok let me know if there's any cute boys over there.
-Macy- Doubt it,but I'll let you know!

With that I put my phone in my pocket and walked down stairs.

"Hey mom I'm going to introduce myself to the neighbors across the street."

"Ok honey oh bring them these!" She handed me a little basket with cookies and treats I'm assuming she wants this to be a sort of "new neighbor gift" I don't know. I put on my shoes and walked out the door. Once I got to the house I knocked on the door and the girl that I saw outsiders flier today answered.

"Hi may I help you?" She asked.
"Oh um I'm Macy and I just moved in across the street and thought I would introduce myself."
"Oh well hi I'm Esther and this is Svea." She said pointing down to the a little girl by her side. "Hello!" I waved to her."oh my mom wanted me to give you these."

"Oh thank you." She thanked me. "Usually it's not just me and Svea but everybody else is gone right now sorry."

"Oh no don't worry I mean we're neighbors there always next time!" I laughed.

"Very true!" She responded laughing as well.

"Well I should probably go back and help my mom unpack some more. I hope to see you later!"

"Me too! And thank you for the basket."

"Don't mention it." I said waving goodbye and walking away.

Well they seem nice. I'm glad I have nice neighbors. I went back inside and took out my phone to text Taylor.

-Macy- no cute boys:/
-Taylor- dang it! I was really hoping so!
-Macy- I'm gonna help unpack I'll call you later.
-Taylor- K byeeeeee!
-Macy- byeeeeee!

After that I went to help unpack and then went to bed car rides are exhausting!
