It was after school the first day of softball practice I was so exited. I walked to the softball field then put my equipment and backpack down. I did two laps around the field. Once I finished two laps around the field everyone else started to come to the field to warm up also.

The coaches said "we will be doing batting drills to get you batting better because we have a game on Saturday. We have five days including today."

The coach called my name "Anna" first to bat.

I put my gloves on I went up to bat. The coach pitched the ball to me I swung the bat as hard as I could I looked back and the pitcher caught it. Everyone laughed.

Lexi aka the mean girl said, "I could of hit that one out the park" she said.

The coach yelled "you have two strikes then your out".

I said to myself "ok batter up".

I gripped the bat tight as I could. I took a deep breath in then out. Coach pitched the ball to me. I felt something on my bat and it was the ball. It went so far it went into where the guys were practicing baseball. The coach had a rule where you had to get the ball whenever we're doing batting practices. I jogged over there there was a guy with really dark short black hair. His eyes were hazel he was near my height but a few inches taller.

He asked "I'm guessing this ball is yours".

I said "yes" with a smile and looked at him.

I got the ball from his hand and felt how soft his hands were.

He said "wow you hit that one really far to end up in the guys field".

I said "it was just a lucky hit."

I looked around at the softball field and realized it was a short practice today.

I said him "it was nice talking to you I have to go now."

He said " see you around and smiled"

I smiled back and waved goodbye I had all my things then walked home.

I said to myself "he was perfect just perfect."
