The Game

But who?

Sorry for the hold up I got lazy over the weekend... but I did the third chapter now enjoy!!! :D

It was Saturday I was getting ready for my softball game. My mom dropped me off at the park where my game was. I walked over there and saw Ryder and he had a friend with him.

I walked towards him and said "hey."

He said "what's up."

Ryder said "oh this is my friend Alex."

Ryder said "I already told him about you."

I looked at Alex he had nice soft brown hair. He had jeans on and a t- shirt.

He looked up at me and said "hello" with a smile.

I said "hi" back.

He almost looked attractive as Ryder. I said almost note that.

I asked Ryder "why are you here there is no baseball today."

Ryder said "I came to support someone."

I asked "who is it?"

Ryder said my girl-."

The coach said "we need to practice" he said loudly.

I said to Ryder "gotta go".

Ryder said out loud "good luck".

I said to myself who could he be talking about I know he said girlfriend but who? I looked around. I said I can't worry about that I have a game to win. We passed the softball in groups of twos to each other. We then practiced batting.

The game coach blew the whistle and said loudly "play ball".

We were on the outfield two batters went up there was one out in the game so far. A short girl came up to bat. Most people on my team didn't take her seriously. We all went in closer. She hit the first pitch and she missed. She gripped the bat hard. She hit the ball and missed again.

The pitcher said "one more strike and your out".

She gripped the bat harder stomped her foot twice against the sand. The pitcher pitched the ball. She hit the ball as hard as she could. The ball went high up in the air. I started thinking who is Ryder's girlfriend. I looked up and bam! The ball hit my face. I fell to the ground unconscious. The next thing I knew I was in a hospital bed. My head was patched up. It sat up from the bed. I saw a mirror and looked at it. I saw that someone patched me me up and there was blood on my hands.
