Penny's POV

We- Aidan, Brittany and I- took Victoria over to the waterfall. I had to laugh at her face.

Her mouth fell open, her eyes widen as she let her blackly browny hair fall onto her face.
"This is, amazing!" She said.
I giggled. "True that."

She skimmed her hand over the lake and then up the wet rocks. Her eyes fell to Jack, a cute... Guy thing.
"Is he a demigod?" Victoria asked.

We all looked at each other.

"No," Aidan finally said. "We're not quite sure what there called but, he's the son of two gods."

Jack looked up from gazing in his golden mirror.
Victoria blushed bright red. She thought he was cute!

"Which gods?" She managed to say.

"Ares and Aphrodite. That's why you think he's cute," I said.

Victoria's face blushed more. "No I don't!"

She smiled at Jack until an awful memory or thought hit her 'cause she turned to us. "Ares?"

We nodded.

She gulped and her face went pale.
"It's just that," She said. "Ally King, daughter of Ares killed me. So, um-"

"Ally's annoying like that. Always killing the pretty ones." Jack said.

I grinned. They'd be dating in no time.
"Penny!" Someone- I think Noah- screamed. Brittany nodded at me. "Go,"

Aidan gave me a quick kiss while grabbed my bow and arrows.

"Don't fall of edge again, because Bec isn't here to save you."

I nodded and bolted into the bush.

Three minutes later, I emerged from the bushes and out to cliff.

"Penny!"

Noah stood, pointing down the cliff.
"What?! What is it?!" I hissed.

He just shook his head and whispered; "Penny."

I looked down the cliff. Bobbing in the water below was a body.

I sighed. "That's just Bec. She does that when she's sad."

Noah looked at me. "Bec? But, it looks like you!"

I nodded. "Same colour hair, same shirt. But look," I pointed to Bec's wrist. "No bracelet. I always wear mine."

Noah gulped before nodding slowly.

"But, is she dead?" He asked.

I laughed and readied my bow. "Watch and see."

I shot and arrow straight down the cliff, it hurtled towards Bec. At just the right moment, Bec reached up and took the arrow, breaking it in half.
Noah did a shaky laugh. "Huh, cool."

I nodded. "True that."

"So," Noah said, playing with his own bracelet.
His demigod gem was blue, while mine was orange. Blue was the colour of his dad, Poseidon. Orange was Apollo. "How's Aidan?"

I struggled not to laugh. "Are you still jealous were dating, Noah?"

Noah blushed. "No! No! I just, um, you know, okay. I'm going to stop talking."

"Good idea."

It was cute that he was jealous! No. I couldn't say stuff like that! I had a boyfriend!

"I'm going to go back," I said. "I'll see you later, I guess."

Noah only nodded.

I started to say don't be awkward but Noah sat at the edge of the cliff with a heavy sigh.

"Something up?" I asked.

Noah continued to look over the cliff.

"You can tell me, I really don't care what it is."

Noah looked me in the eye, his brown eyes watery. "I- I just. You know what? I can't say this to you, I'm sorry."

I sat down next to him and leaned into his shoulder. "Just freaking tell me, Noah."

He sighed. "I can't- can't get you out of my head. I'm not over you, no matter how many times I say I am. I'm not."

I froze. "Oh, okay. Right. Uh, yeah. That's-" I stood before I finished my sentence. Bec had gathered herself up and stood in the water. I held my breath.

"I can't, Noah. I went after you forever. And now I'm happy. Just, leave it." For now. I wanted to add.

But instead I closed my eyes and jumped. I heard Noah scream my name. The wind whooshed in my ears as I fell.

"Penny!" This time Bec screamed.

I plunged into the freezing water and for once, I felt alright.
