What is confidence?
Confidence is being able to nod your head and tell your mother that you did great on the pop quiz despite not studying.
Confidence is being able to walk through the corridors of your school feeling good about yourself and pay no attention to the people whispering. Regardless of whether you're the topic of those whispers or not.
It's being able to look at yourself in the mirror and instead of frown, smirk at the thought of how you're going to knock them all dead.
It's being able to let out your boisterous laugh even in pin drop silence because you don't care. You want to show the world how happy you are at that moment.
Confidence is taking another slice of that delicious cheesecake at your friend's birthday party in front of your crush even when your clothes are getting a bit tighter around your tummy.
Confidence is wearing that midnight blue backless dress to prom because you think you look stunning and if your date doesn't, to hell with him.
Confidence is putting yourself back together even when you've been broken apart time and time again, because you know that this time, it's not going to fall apart.
Confidence is not knowing the answer to the question I asked you in the beginning but still willing to try and figure it out anyways.

{A/N: This is just something I was thinking of while I was walking down the hallway of my school today. I wanted to put it in words as soon as I got home.
What is confidence to you? I really want to know your thoughts.
To be completely honest, I don't think I'm ever truly confident.}
