Alfred Jones' POV

I slowly rolled around my cozy bed, refusing to get up. My head turned warily at the alarm clock next to my bed. 5:20 am.

"Five more minutes..." I mumbled under my breath as I drifted off into sleep again.

My eyes shot open, once again, as I heard my loud alarm clock go off. This meant that I had to get up, but I really didn't want to.

I made my way to the bathroom, and took a three minute shower. After that, I threw on some jeans and a red t-shirt. Then I sat down to eat afterwards.

"Alfred!" A voice called.

"What?" I replied.

"Get out of the house! You're going to be late for school again!"

"Fine, mom!" I called. I hadn't even finished my breakfast, or homework.

As I walked to school, my head started bobbing back and forth sleepily. I felt like I had also forgotten something, but didn't know what it was.

"Ey! Al!"

I turned around and saw my best friends, Mathias Køhler and Gilbert Beilshmidt, running towards me.

"Heyo," I said tiredly. Gilbert looked around me, as if he knew something was missing.

"Vhere is mein little birdie?" He asked. That's what I had forgotten!

"Oh? You mean Matthew?" I asked. Gilbert nodded.

"Shit! I forgot about him!" I groaned as I facepamled myself.

"Stupid, stupid, stupid Alfred," Mathias whispered as he shook his head.

"Zhen let's go get him!" Gilbert ordered. I gave a big groan and followed my two friends.

"I'm too lazy. You guys go. I'll be here." I moaned. Slowly, I swayed lazily side to side. I didn't look where I was going, so I didn't see myself bumping into someone else and falling on my butt.

"Huh? Kiku?" I asked. He nodded and looked at me. I had just bumped into one of my other friends, who was also the person I sorta maybe liked....

"Sorry Arfred. I didn't mean to bump into you..." He apologized.

"N-no. It's fine. It was my fault." I stuttered as I got up. I held out my hand to help Kiku up. He took it and stood.

"Okay... Thanks..." He replied awkwardly. I blushed at his reply.

"No problem, dude!" I exclaimed to cover the fact I blushed. Kiku looked away, and I could almost make out a light shade of pink on his cheeks. "So...."

"So.... How have you been?" He added quietly.

"Average. You?" I asked.

"Average."

I let out a small chuckle, and then heard Kiku giggle too. I instantly went red and looked away. Cute....
