Can't Blame A Girl For Trying

**Elizabeth's POV**

"Haven't you learned your lesson yet?" my friend Lisa groaned.

I sniff pouting at her. "I thought he was the one"

"You always say that!" she sighs shaking her head at me.

"I swear, I really thought he's the one I'll marry someday.. but, I was wrong" I cried again.

Lisa sighs again. "Look, it's okay, he's not the only guy in the world and besides, we're still young so let's make the best of our youth!" she smiled hugging me from the side.

"Okay, I know you have somewhere to be so go now or I won't let you escape" I playfully glare at her.

"Yeah yeah.. but you should really go out too.. eat at your favorite ice cream shop, go to the mall or even go to the park, you've been stuck in your house for three days now." Lisa said shrugging then walks to the door, and with a little wave she closed the door leaving me alone in my sad lonely room.

Maybe I should go out.. It's getting boring here anyways.

I'll forget about Billy soon and he isn't worthy sulking for anyways.. (Lisa's words not mine.)

Poor me.. always ending up to situations like this.. It's always been hard with guys.

Isn't there a decent and honest man anymore?!

But anyways I did what Lisa suggested me to do.

I went to my favorite ice cream shop but not before cleaning myself up.

I ordered my favorite chocolate ice cream and sat at one of the stools while reading a book that I brought here.

I was so caught up with the story, I hadn't realized someone sat beside me at the stools.

He made his presence known when he coughed to gain my attention.

I looked beside me startled and saw a very cute creature..

I stared tying to memorize every detail of him.

"Do it before it's too late" he finished with a smile.

Oops... he said something but I was too mesmerized by his face.

"Yeah!" I agreed while nodding.

Uhuh, If only I knew what he just said to me.

"Um.. so aren't you going to eat it?" he asks when I continued reading my book.

Even though I'm dying to know what will happen next to the stoy I still glance up and continued talking to this master piece of a human being.

"I'm sorry but what do you mean?" I frown at him.

He let's out a chuckle then takes a scoop out of my almost melted ice cream and held it near my mouth.

"I said you should eat your ice cream before it melts completely. Now open wide" he grins at me obviously amuse that I wasn't listening to him awhile ago.

I hesitantly opened my mouth so he can feed me my ice cream.

After that he put it back to my cup and took a scoop out of his ice cream too, which was strawberry..

"Um, thank you?" I said or more likes ask as I smiled back at him.

I eat my ice cram quietly as I feel the man's eyes still on me.

"So do you have a problem? or maybe a break up? or just hanging out here to eat ice cream?" he asks out of the blue.

"Oh, umm, you see I do have a problem, and yes I always go here just to eat ice cream" I nodded, leaving out the break up part.
