Heartbreak Girl

**Earl's POV**

I finally got to the counter after waiting for so long on the line. It's only been five minutes actually but time is precious when someone special  is waiting for you.

Tessa, the cashier girl who is in mid-sixties smiles at me as she scan what I bought.

"She at it again?" she asks, shaking her head out of sympathy.

I nod then shrug. "Again" I said clarifying it even though it's obvious, as Tessa scans the last three bowls of ice cream.

"I still can't believe you care so much for her and her not knowing. If ever some guy does these for me, I would marry him in a heartbeat." she laughs making me smile in return.

Tessa became my friend after buying at this store for almost every other week with always buying the same foods.. when I bought the same foods for the fourth time, that's when she asks me why I need all this foods every week.

After telling her about my best friend Penelope, always having a break down because of all her ex that dumps her.

Sometimes she was dump for a week and a half, but I know it wouldn't last so it became a routine to buy the foods that she'll eat after a break up, just to comfort her. She can eat a whole elephant and not gain weight. Fast metabolism I guess.

After paying and getting the bags from Tessa she mouths me 'good luck' and I nod in response.

I go straight to my apartment already knowing she'll be there.

When I opened the door, I was strangled with a tight hug and soon came the loud sobs.

I sighed, putting the groceries down and hug her back, moving forward with her still clasp tightly around me.

I closed the door when I got in and hug Penelope properly, holding her head as she cries on my shoulder.

"Everything will be alright, I promise" I murmur at her ear and rock as back and forth.

"I thought he was different" she cries more, making me sigh once again.

"C'mon, I bought your favorite ice cream, chips, chocolates, favorite mountain dew, Oreo's and pizza is on the way Pel" I said making her stop a little and pull away from me slowly, sniffing and wiping her cheeks.

"Okay..." she says looking up at me with a pout and her eyes starts to water again.

"We'll watch adventure time, don't worry" I grin when I saw a faint smile form on her face.

"Lemme just get the foods ready. Turn the t.v. on will you?" I ask sweetly and with a nod of a response, I quickly get the foods from the door and went to the kitchen.

I got the first two containers of ice cream and put on two spoons separately then scissors to open the other foods later.

When I go back to the living room, Pel was already sitting at the sofa watching adventure time.

I sat beside her and gave her vanilla ice cream while watching.

I got out my blanket and put it in our laps as we continue watching adventure time.

The pizza soon came and all through the night, we ate junk foods and watch different cartoons when Adventure time ended.

I woke up with Pel sleeping on my lap. I yawn, stretching a little.
