Walking towards the bench that had filled her emptiness with joy each day she was followed by each member of it. She felt the cold air push her coarse , brown hair out of the way and images of a runway filled her mind. Blinding lights, flashed each pulsing as loud music echoed in the large hallway. A thousand eyes stared at her, some squinted others reflected venomous spite. Determination had filled her mind and she looked ahead as their eyes burned holes through her back. Yet reality slowly washed upon these ridiculous thoughts and yet again everything seemed so impossible. A shrill of laughter had erupted, the small crowd at sat giggling at the photos they took of themselves on their phones. "Oh my gosh look at me, i look so weird" the girl who sat on the bench chuckled at the filter which changed her into superman. Another boy came along and joined in posing in awkward stances. "Morning.." Beverly whispered to them and threw her bag onto the floor. "Hey, Beverly! How are you?" Julius smiled and walked towards her. His brown hair covered his forehead and highlighted his hazel eyes. Eyes were drawn towards his white t-shirt which hung below his navy jumper. "Great, thanks! Oh by the way.. Do you want me to write the song for music?"she replied quickly trying to achieve, her daily checklist. He shuffled his feet against the gravel and then shrugged his wide shoulders. "Don't mind" he mumbled and stared down at his illuminated phone screen. "Ok, don't worry i will!" She assured him and then leant against the brick wall. Once again invisible as she melted into the walls, disappearing from existence. A figure wearing a washed denim jacket, with chestnut hair that gleamed in the sun interacted in a quiet conversation with a another girl. They were both very close friends and often Beverly couldn't tell them apart, but she had no reason to as Adlynn wore mint green glasses and had long blond hair which appeared ginger in certain lighting. Her smile curled between her cheeks and her crystal blue eyes twinkled with aspirations. Beverly knew behind Adlynn's shyness is a loving, wonderful soul which spread joy to others. This explained the lightness of the atmosphere whenever you were around her. Edith was alike in personality but she had an energetic buzz in her every word which made her so lively. Edith also had a warm soul and was very compassionate towards others supporting everyone of her friends. Her medium length brown hair always lay on her shoulders, bringing out her alluring brown eyes. Edith had a angelic, silvery singing voice which was hidden deep in her heart. Every time she sang her voice stunned everyone and made any song sound so light.
The two of them were talking so faintly it was almost a sin to interrupt their conversation but Beverly stepped out of the titian brick wall and forced herself into their conversation. "Nice weather today isn't it?" Beverly began on an ordinary question. It the was same thing just different people. Beverly never had anything else to talk about except from school, work and homework. She didn't care about anything else and nothing else ever lingered upon her conversations. A dry topic which often left sentences entering with splutter of attempts of conversation. One word to describe her self. Pathetic.
"Yeah, its really nice and warm today..."exclaimed Edith while she gazed into the lucent orb of the sky. Edith had just her navy and white blouse on as usual the brumal air never affected her. "So... What are you guys planning for the weekend?" Beverly persisted a sinking ship of a conversation as it plunged further into the depths of the water. "Nothing much, just might see Blair."mentioned Adlynn as her fingers twiddled in between each other. "Ok, well i'll leave you guys to it then. Im going to go to the canteen"Beverly stammered and walked ahead towards the main building. The grey slated path followed her to the steps. She had escaped her awkwardness but it subsided and was reinstated by a calming desolation.
