Chapter 8: Flirting?

Nathan and I got to know eachother better and talked for hours. The others came immediately upstairs when school was over.

"Ann?! Are you okay?! What happened?", Taehyung said and pulled me into a tight embrace.

"Hahah nothing happened, I'm okay!"

"I'll leave for now...take care!", Nathan said.

"Oh you can stay for dinner if you want?"

"Nah, I don't want to be a burden."

"What are you saying, it's no problem at all!"

"Okay...if it's no problem for you."

I saw the others roll their eyes but I just ignored them.

"Let's go order some pizza!", J-Hope suggested and we all agreed.

After eating:

"I'll see you tomorrow at school then?", Nathan said.

"That's a promise!", I said. "Bye! And be careful!"

"Yes, I will!", he said smiling.

I closed the door and everyone was staring at me. Did I do something wrong?

'...What?'

"That's a promise, and be careful!", Jimin said while imitating my voice.

"Maybe those guys are out there...you never know."

"Do you like him?", J-Hope asked me with a smirk on his face.

"He's nice, he can listen very well."

"That's not what he meant Ann", Suga said.

"Than w-what do you mean...?", I asked. Of course I knew what he meant but I just didn't want to answer that question...I just met him.

"You do, don't you? He obviously likes you.", Namjoon said.

"He just randomly started talking to you today Ann.", J-Hope said.

"He wanted to talk to me, is something wrong with that?"

"He was flirting with you."

"No he wasn't, what are you talking about?"

"So why did you run home? Did Jungkook say something?", Taehyung asked, trying to change the subject. He obviously didn't like talking about it either.

"No he didn't...that's the problem."

"Don't worry, I'll talk to him.", Jin whispered in my ear.

"Thank you."

The next morning I heard that Jin and Jungkook already went to school, earlier than they normally do.

JIN'S POV:

Should I just ask him? He can't keep treating Ann like that. He'll hurt her even more than he realizes. I'll just go for it.

"So Jungkook, do you know what happened to Ann yesterday?"

"No Jin, I don't."

"She went home early."

"She did? So that's why she missed class."

"Why didn't you say something to her?"

"I was late for class."

Is he serious? Now he's going to lie to me too? He can't be serious right?

"Don't lie to me Jungkook."

"I-I'm not lying hyung."

"What are you so afraid of?"

"We both know that you already know the answer."

"You're making it worse this way, you know that right?"

"I'd rather have it this way than hurting her like that again."

"You didn't hurt her. Did you ever ask h-"

"How do you know that?! It's not like she told you."

He's right...she didn't. But I can't just let two of my best friends ignore each other. "No she didn't...but I just know it. You're hurting her by ignoring her."

"I can't just walk up to her and start talking like we used to. It will never be the same again."

"You could at least try talking to her. Then you'll know for sure."

"Just leave it hyung."
