Alana's POV

I inhaled a big mouthful of oxygen before I said a word.
"Yes." I replied, as a stream of tears rolled down my face. Mom pulled me in for a colossal hug and we rocked back and forth. She released her grip and grabbed my shoulders
"I'm not mad honey." I sighed in relief before she continued.
"I understand," She nodded with a tear in her eye, "Stuff happens."
"I'm so sorry, Mom"
"It's ok baby, don't let it happen again until you're older, ok?"
"I promise." And I really did mean it. We embraced each other once more and went on with our afternoon.

The next morning I woke up, slopped on some makeup, flat ironed my hair, and hit the jets to the bus stop. I waited aggravatingly for Cori to come, but she never showed up. Furiously, I hopped on the bus by myself when it finally came and sat down in the very back. After a 15-20 minute ride, I arrived at the school, and I couldn't believe my eyes!
"Is that Cori?" I asked myself quietly. She and Mallory stood in the middle of Valerie and Sallori. Cori actually looked... Gorgeous! She clearly contoured her face, but she actually did a great job. Her winged eyeliner was so sharp, she could probably cut somebody with it. She was strutting in knee high brown leather boots, dark wash skinny jeans, a white T-shirt, and a navy blue cardigan on top. Her hair was in two braids, and her eyebrows were precise and sharp.

When Mallory, Valerie, Sallori, and Cori walked by, Cori gave a sarcastic wink and wave in my direction. That's when immediately exited the building, and walked to Jacob's house. I needed to let out some steam and skip school for a day.

SORRY THIS CHAPTER WAS SHORT TOO! I'll make a long chapter tomorrow, Sunday, or Monday. Sorry for the inconvenience! By the way, I'll make more chapters in Jacob's POV soon.
