Lloyd dialed Aarav's number for the third time. He picked up after a couple of rings.
"What?" Aarav croaked in a sleepy voice.
"You were going to take help from someone regarding the divorce case, did you?" Lloyd asked.
"Whose divorce?" Aarav asked grumpily, annoyed at being woken up so early.
"Shehzad's divorce! It's been two days since you told you would get help. We can't keep delaying," Aarav said in an inpatient tone.
"It's 7 am man! Shutup and let me sleep. Idiot," he disconnected the call and muttered a string of profanities before drifting back to sleep.
Fifteen minutes later, he was awoken by a gush of ice cold water. He opened his eyes to find Lloyd standing with a bucket in his hand and a smug look on his face. "Nobody cuts a call on my face," he stated, his hands crossed over his chest.
"You know you can be fired, right?" Aarav asked annoyed.
"You know I don't care, right?" He replied, mimicking Aarav's tone, causing him to get even more annoyed.
"Now get up and go to work," he said pulling the blanket off him.
"Fine!" He huffed and went to the washroom.
*******"Hi Riya!" Aarav greeted as cheerfully as possible.
"What?" She answered with an equal amount of uninterest.
He went inside her office and sat himself on the black, leather couch. Her office was done in black and white. It looked smart and sleek, just like her, Aarav thought.
"I wanted help," he said. She faced towards him and he took it a positive sign.
Atleast she wants to listen, "regarding Shehzad's divorce case," he completed.
"Why? Is Lloyd incapable of handling it?" She retorted instantly.
Ignoring her taunt, he narrated the events that took place two days ago carefully leaving out the glass breaking incident. He handed her his phone and she watched the video over and over again, lost in deep thought for a while.
Aarav noticed how beautiful she looked when she was lost in her thoughts. A dimple formed on her left cheek when she pursed her lips. Her fingers played with a pen while she was busy pondering. After three mental kisses and playing a romantic scene in his head, he was broken out of his daydream by Riya's comment.
"He didn't know this was being recorded, right?"
"No he was clueless. She said she wanted to rehearse for a new role," he replied.
"I think I know what we can do."
"What?" He asked overjoyed.
She explained her plan and if he just admired her few minutes ago, he was fully blown away by her now. Before realising what he was doing, he kissed her on her cheek.
"You are so beautiful and smart," he exclaimed.
She looked at him with fury and a hard punch landed on his jaw causing a cut on his lip.
"Ow! And wild!" he yelped in pain.
"Stay in your limits," she snapped back and turned to her computer, her back facing him.
"See you later," he said and hurriedly walked out before she said or did more damage. As he walked towards the car, he touched his lips and saw blood on his fingers.
I kissed her, he thought to himself happily and drove away.
********Shehzad placed his empty mug on the tray and stood up to resume his excercise. For the last two days, he had been spending his entire day in the gym except for the times when he had to have his meals or use the washroom. He refused to resume shooting despite Aarav's constant insistence. He just didn't want to.
