Allistair watched the sleek, black Audi arrive in the parking lot. 1111 -a series of the number one in the car plate indicated the status of the man inside. Shehzad's love for the number 1 was known to everyone. He climbed out of the car, his black hair complimenting his mustard colour blazer perfectly. The Raybans managed to hide his eyes while increasing the charm of his face. Aarav and Lloyd got out of their respective cars and joined him.
He watched them enter the cafe and waited for the events to unfold, ready to taste victory. He had spent months planning and patiently waiting to execute them.
Shehzad strode inside the cafe and spotted his wife on a table in the corner. She was wearing a floral top with jeans, looking beautiful as ever.
He sat down opposite to her and cleared his throat.
"I hope you have reconsidered your demand because what you ask for is not only unreasonable but also out of question," Shehzad started the conversation without any pleasantries.
Her lips curved into a smile. Shehzad watched her closely, noticing every move. She shivered slightly under his gaze. The one place nobody wanted to be in was under Shehzad's scrutiny.
"Well, I'm aware your company is something you can't part with. But if you had to choose between wealth and reputation, I'm sure you'd be wise enough to compromise on wealth," she replied feigning confidence.
He sighed. "You don't know me well, do you? Shehzad does not compromise," he stated, emphasizing on each word. Ella was tense, the conversation was not going in it's expected course.
He looked at Aarav and he pulled out the same phone that she had given him.
"Ah! I don't need this. Keep it as a gift from me," she laughed attempting to display indifference. She knew Shehzad had already detected the uneasiness and fear veiled under her laugh.
"Open it," Shehzad ordered transforming her laugh into a scowl within seconds.
From the car, Allistair watched Ella as she looked into the phone given by Shehzad. As she watched, the confidence and arrogance on her face was replaced with fear and anger.
What was she watching, he tried to come up with answers.
She looked up at Shehzad fuming with anger. His face was stone. Cold and plain. Emotionless. Her heart sank with fear. She knew that look too well.
Lloyd opened the file and took out the divorce papers and passed them to Shehzad. He took them and slid it to her. "The divorce papers. I'm sure if you had to choose between wealth and reputation, you'd be wise enough to compromise on wealth," he repeated her line, his voice colder than before.
She stared at the paper, remorse engulfing her for the first time since she left him. These papers not only indicated the end of her marriage with the superstar but also an invitation of Allistair's wrath. He hated losing to Shehzad. He had been treating her like a queen but she knew it was only because she was getting him what he wanted. Grabbing the bunch of papers, she stormed out of the cafe without saying anything.
Alistair unlocked the door and she sat inside, banging the door shut with a force that made her flinch.
"What did he show?" Alistair asked.
"The video of that day," She said with anger.
Alistair cursed under his breath and started the engine.
**********"Shehzad! Omg! you're here!" A shrill voice yelled as soon as he arrived on the set, the director following him with the scrpit. Ignoring the actress, he walked ahead as though he heard nothing. Nitin handed him the script.
