Abby's P.O.V
That night after everything had settled down I was talking to my mum in the kitchen.
"So school doesn't start for like another couple of weeks?" I asked raising my eyebrow.
This was the school I was actually going to try my hardest at. I had to get my game together.
I mean I'm not dumb.
I used to top my classes every year but I'm not used to this school and my old school I had been at for more than 3 years.
I knew nearly everybody there. Here I know absolutely no one.
"Yes, You still have holidays" She said
"But our other school has gone back already" I said
"Different school times you get an extra 2 weeks" She said smiling
"Okay well goodnight mum. Sleep well" I said kissing her cheek and heading for the stairs
I walked down the hall towards chloe's room and knocked on the door.
"Come in" She called out
"Hey" I said
"Hey" She smiled
"What are you doing" I asked
"Just drawing" She said
I took a look around her lilac coloured room. It was beautiful.
Her bed was in the corner of the room facing the tv
"Excited for your 2nd year of high school" I asked
"I don't know" She looked down
"Whats wrong" I asked
"I don't know anyone. What if they all make fun of me cause I'm not good enough here" She said
"If they don't think your good enough then they aren't worth your time. But hey, I'll always stick up for you. You have like the hottest sister ever so our lives should be a breeze" I joked and started walking for the door
"Goodnight Abby" She smiled
"Goodnight" I smiled and closed the door behind me.
I walked over to Derek's door and knocked
No answer
I knocked again
No answer
"Derek If you are in there can you tell me cause I don't wanna walk in on you naked or something worse" I said and laughed to myself
I opened the door and he wasn't even in there.
Waste of my time.
I walked over to the spiral staircase and walked up the stairs I went over to my room and pulled my laptop out from its case on my desk and sat over on the window seat looking up towards the stars.
I put my headphones in and sat comfortably against the soft pillows on the seat.
I looked over at our neighbours house and saw something through the window. Without thinking I pulled out my phone and texted Derek.
I saw him pick up his phone and he looked out the window and spotted me.
He then smiled and called me. I pulled my headphones out and answered his call laughing at the face he made when I took the photo of him for his caller id.
"Come over" He said into the phone
"No. I'm busy, I went to your room to say goodnight but you weren't there" I said
