"I'm only surrounded by couples." Eric complained looking at Randy and I then Cass and Leah. Cass doesn't argue saying that Leah and him aren't an item and Leah doesn't seem phased. "Sorry dude." I say. He laughs. "How's your ribs feeling?" He asks. I shrug. "Fine." I say with a shrug. "Sorry dude." He mocks. "Eric. Play nice." Leah says. "So, did Hailee talk about us?" Eric asks. "You sound like you just met my dad." I joke. "Well, I'm important and I wanted to see if you talked about us even though your phone is broken." He says. I roll my eyes. Randy laughs. "Come here." I say. "No. Your gonna hit me. I'm not stupid." He says. Cass shrugs. "You keep reading books. I'll keep writing em." Eric says. "You didn't hit her with that line." Leah says. I chuckle. "I did." Eric says. "So are you guys leaving tonight?" I ask. "Tomorrow morning. Which means were staying in Tennessee." Cass says. "Awe. Guys." I say. "Text us or call us." Eric says. "I will. Weekly. Promise you that. I'll call one of you. That work for you father?" I ask. "Why not daily?" He asks. "I don't need to hear your voice that often." I say. He stops smiling. "We gotta leave soon." Randy says to me. I nod. "Okay, bye." I say to them. "Bye." Leah says pretends to shed a single tear. "Cass." I say. He smiles. "I kept him on his best behavior. That's all I'm here for." Cass says like I'm gonna yell at him. "Bye Eric." I say. "Bye." He says. "Wait are you going to our takeover next month?" Leah asks. "No, I don't think so." I say. "Are you gonna watch it?" Cass pushes. "I was planning on it. Why?" I ask. "Ya boys are number contenders." Eric says. "Know what that means sweetheart?" Cass asks. "Do you know what it means?" I ask. He laughs. "So, are you winning?" I ask. "That is for you to find out." He says. I roll my eyes. "Well, I'll see you guys around." I say. They nod and start leaving. Now for me to tell the dreaded truth. Stephanie and Paul were at the hotel. We got in the car and I start it and play a random song by Halsey. "So, um promise me you won't get mad?" I ask. He sighs. "I'm gonna get mad if you say that. Minus well tell me." He says. "Well Eric..." I start. "The one I just met?" He asks. I nod. "We almost kissed." I say. "Okay? That it?" He asks. "You're supposed to yell at me, get angry, do something." I say to him. I was upset he treated that like it was nothing. It proved he wasn't 120% into this relationship. "Why would I. Nothing happened. Almost only counts in horse shoes and hand grenades." He says. "It proves you don't care. You don't care about us. Eric could literally call me and say hey lets go out. You wouldn't care." I say. "I'd care cuz your mine." He tells me. "I'm not a prize. I'm a human and damnit why don't you care? I could dump you tomorrow and say hey sorry I like blah blah blah now." I say. "Your making me think you do like Eric." He says. "Do you care then?" I ask. "I care because I love you, I don't know why you don't think I do. Why would I still be here, right here for almost a year? I'm not leaving your side. Even if you get tired of me I'm not leaving." He says. I smile at him. "Really?" I ask. "No. I'm bullshitting you." He says sarcastically. "Yes. I'm serious." He says. "Now is not the time for sarcasm." I say. "Is this how you really feel? Like I know we don't ever fight. Is this what it is? Your pent up feelings?" He asks. We finally pull up to the hotel and I shrug. "My pent up feelings? Want to know how I feel without anyone saying anything or anyone inturrupting." I say before kissing him roughly. He smiles as I get out and grab my phone. I notice I was in the middle of a call. Shit. With the one and only Eric of course. I show Randy. He smiles. "I feel like I can't trust you to actually care about this relationship." I say. He smiles even wider. "I guess you aren't the woman I was looking for then. I think we should break up." He says winking at me. "I guess so." I say. Once those words leave my mouth the call ends. I laugh. "Nicely done Lawler." He says. "Why thank you." I say. "I'm sorry you don't think I don't care about this relationship." He says kissing me. "I'm sorry for freaking out." I say. That's my thing. Randy and I can't argue for long periods of time. I don't think we can handle it. We got in the room, grabbed our stuff and Paul and Stephanie. I start working on my speech again. Actually writing an outline of it. "Hows your speech coming along?" Stephanie asks. "Actually really well." I say. "Did you get a chance to talk to Arn yet?" Randy asks. "Uh, no. I was catching up with some buddies from NXT." I say. He shows some signs of anger in his eyes but smiles. Eric then texts me.
E- Hey
I show Randy it. Should I say Randy and I broke up or not?
"Tell him what happened?" He says with a shrug.
H- You'll never believe what happened
"What happened?" Paul asks as Eric types back.
E- What?
"So, we got into a little argument." Randy says. "Large." I correct. "We got into a large argument, and Eric was on the phone with her. We didn't know it. He was listening to our fight and we decided to continue and 'break up'." Randy explains. "Well, I'm gonna take his side just for a moment. He was the cause of the argument. I feel like he had the right to know. To a certain extent." I say. He shrugs. "What happened?" Stephanie asks. "So, Eric and I almost kissed. Cass walked in saving my ass." I explain. "I can thank Bill for that then." He says. "I'm confused is his name Bill or Cass?" Stephanie asks. "His ring name is Collin Cassady, but his real name is Bill. I've just refused to call him Bill." I explain. "Otherwise known as Big Cass." Paul says. I nod. "Didn't realize it was that Eric, but damn." Paul says. I chuckle.
H- Randy and I broke up.
"My thing is Eric is like a detective in my life. I can literally be dating for example um Jon and he'll already know before I say anything." I say.
