Joe sat next to me on my bed reading what I was typing about Arns story. This was one of the few times Randy had a different Live event schedule. He noded. "Looks good." He says. I smile. "Why thank you." I say. He laughs. "When are you filming today?" He asks. "I could do it now." I say. He shrugs. "My only issue is I broke my tripod. Which means I've gotta stack books of something." I say getting up. He chuckles going onto his bed. I set it on the desk and put books underneath. "Joe. If you look at the camera does this look okay?" I ask him. He flips on a light and says "How do you focus it?" I fix it myself and he nods as I do so. "How's it look now?" I ask. He nods. "It looks fine." He says. I start recording and say "Alright. If you pay attention you will learn a little something about me." "What am I learning?" "My wrestling story." I say. He smirks.
"So, first off. I feel like I should say this. It's fine if you don't like it, but there is no reason to disrespect us or the people who watch it by calling it fake." I say.
"Preach!" Joe says. I laugh.
"The reason you guys hear so much commentary is because I'm filming this with Roman." I say.
"I like to talk." He says.
"I know." I respond immediately. He laughs. "Okay, so when I was 17 I start-" Joe cuts me off.
"No. Start from the beginning." He says.
"I am." I say.
"No. The very beginning." He says.
"Okay. Okay." I say.
"So, I am Alexis Lawler. My father is Jerry 'the king' Lawler. And my cousin is the Honky Tonk Man." I start.
"I've always been around wrestling for this reason. I had always loved it, but I never really thought that I could make this a career and a lifestyle for myself. I was like 15 or so when I decided I was going to start wrestling." I say.
"What about college?" Joe asks.
"I have my A bachelor's degree in teaching and child psychology majoring in History." I say. He nods.
"When I told my dad we made an agreement that I would get a college education then he'd help me with my wrestling thing. I started getting in shape and exercising till I was 17. By then I actually started training. Then when I was 18 my dad showed me Memphis Wrestling. I wrestled there for a year and a half. Along with training constantly and having matches I now had online college to deal with." I say.
"Then I was nearing the end of my contract with Memphis Wrestling, so I decided to leave and go to bigger and better things. I went to TNA after this and I think I was like 19, or just turning 19. Something like that. I'm not good at math, or remembering." I say.
"While I was there I wrestled all sorts of people like Gail Kim, and Jade. Actually I take that back. The time I was there for was mainly me Valeting. I needed to get some sort of wrestling gig, and have it not interfere with school." I say. He nods.
"Then I was in an independent circut for a little bit. Maybe a few months. Not long. Nothing really happened, so I asked to leave. I then didn't have anything. I sent stuff out. Got nothing back. Till one day. CZW, or Combat Zone Wrestling agreed to hire me."
"I wasn't doing any sort of traveling wrestling like I'm doing here, because I wanted to finish school easily. Not have it be a hassle every time I need to learn." I say.
"How long were you there?"
"Um almost 3 years. While I was there I had some great matches with Eliza Pateas. She was one who we had great inring chemistry." I say.
"When did you start dating her?" He asks.
"Half a year after I got there. I was I think 21 or 22. I finally finished school and it was nice. Now if I ever wanted I could go to WWE. Which was my goal." I say. He nods.
"Eliza and I dated for about 2 and almost half a year. The day I got an offer to be in what was then FCW I told her and we ended up breaking up." I say.
"Then I went into FCW. It was pretty cool. The first 3 years I was there was awesome and cool and really big learning experience for me. Then the name change came. It was then NXT. I was there 2 years. 5 in total if you count the FCW years." I say.
"Who did you wrestle?" He asks.
"I wrestled Bayley, Carmella, Paige, Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch, Charlotte, Dana Brooke, and Alexia Bliss. That wasn't everyone. Just a few." I say.
"Did you win any titles?"He asks.
"In total?" I ask.
"No, in NXT." He says.
"Nope. When they were at first doing the tournament to decide who would win it I lost to Paige." I say.
"So, she won the title right?" He asks.
"Did you ever watch?" I ask.
"Nope." He responds.
"Well yes. Paige won the title. My first title in WWE was the Divas title. Haven't had any luck after that." I say.
"Most divas are only one time divas champion." He says. I shrug.
"Yeah, my wrestling career wasn't filled with many titles. I was good. There was someone a little better, or it was one of those days." I say.
"Are you proud of your wrestling story?" He asks.
"Yep." I say nodding.
"Then that's all that matters." He says.
"This was fun." I say. He smirks.
"I agree." He says. I turn off my camera and set it in a bag. We leave for the arena and I have a match against Nikki.
