Foreword
Once upon a time, there were five rebellious bobby pins. Despite the explicit instructions they were given, they did not find themselves safely back inside of my makeup case like they were supposed to.
Rather, they decided to hang out together on my dresser, having a party or something. Probably ganging up on me, discussing ideas of ruining my life somehow, maybe on how they were all going to not stay in my hair and just fall out in the middle of nowhere.
Okay, I know I'm being a bit ridiculous, but, seriously, these bobby pins are vital to this story.
In the end, they won, and their plan worked out perfectly; ruining my life.
Because without those five bobby pins, this story would not exist.
And possibly my stubbornness.
Description
"Would you have really pulled that trigger, Dee?" His voice taunted me.
"No," I grunt out after letting my guard down.
"And why not?" I hated when he was mocking and teasing me.
"Because I've never done it before and I'm too innocent," I look down at the ground while stating the facts.
-
"What are you doing, Delilah Jade Frisco?" asks Tyler a small smile playing on his lips. He's playing this off as if he knew this was going to happen all along or the fact that I wouldn't actually shoot the person who took care of me for 3 years
-
That was the last straw. I throw all my thoughts of how I've never actually shot a human being, especially anything filled with blood and how "innocent" I was down the drain.
-
I raise my other gun and shoot.
-
"Consider this a game of capture the mobile flag - naturally, I'm the flag. First, one to find me wins."
-
I give out a sinister chuckle as I hear them banging on the door and yelling at each other.
