Never think you know exactly what's going on, just like you would never think you knew where all the weapons were in the room. Because the second you think you know everything that's happening is the exact moment you realize you miscounted, as you find the muzzle of a gun pressed to your head. -JEI

I pull my lips away from his, only to pick up my book and turn back to the page I was on.
From the corner of my eye, I see that Matthias had taken a big step back in shock. His mouth and jaw opens and closes as he tries to get words to come out. "What the heck was that Delilah?!"He all but screams at me.
I turn and give him an innocent look, quirking an eyebrow. "Whatever do you mean, Matthias?"
"You know what I mean," he narrows his eyes at me, only receiving amused but confused looks back.
"Nope, I don't, would you like to enlighten me?" I hold back a chuckle.
He stays quiet for a moment, his hands ball into fists at his sides, while his eyes growing in anger. This had gotten me scared. Why was he so mad? He walks closer to me, fury adds on each step he takes. It was all games and sorts until someone or something gotten out of control. I sink my now stilled body into the couch.
"Ma- Matthias?" I stutter out, not know what to say. My eyes widen when he doesn't answer and instead he reaches out his hands towards me. My reflexes had kicked in about now; my hand with the book is used as a shield for what Matthias is planning to do next, my eyes shut closed. I had never been purposely hit by a guy before, excluding the training with Tyler. My body begin to shake more than before. And this time, I definitely felt the rush of blood.
The book is being grasped out of my hands and I wonder what he was doing, maybe taking the shield away so he could get a direct hit. When a few moments of silence passes by I earn enough courage to open my eyes again, this time, to see that Matthias was already halfway to the doorway. He didn't hit me.
"Your punishment, you can't read anymore, considering you find this as an amusing, fun thing to do," he tells me over his shoulders before finally using the book to wave bye. My brows furrowed. No one takes a book away from me. Especially not ones I'm caught up in.
I decided to get up, which I only groan too and steady myself back down. I knew better than to try that again, so I ended up staying on the couch. I began to have thoughts, then think, overloading myself. Cramps. Food. Mother nature. Chocolate. Tyler. Cake. Gangs. Cupcakes. Recuse. More food. Matthias. Sweets. Kissing. Every single topic popped up in my mind, cluttering the little space I have left in my brain to think. Words, then phrases, then questions; this conclude with more cramps and a headache.
Throughout the rest of the week, I was bored out of my mind. Matthias never gave me my book back, nor did he let me get a new book. I still was basically "grounded", I couldn't watch TV or go outside. Although Aiden had been nice to me throughout the week, the boys had stayed clear of me; still scared that I was going to snap and bite their heads off any moment I got the chance too. Aiden just did the casual check up on me every few hours to make sure I wasn't in pain and was comfortable. Me, being my sensitive self, I had teared up a little at how nice Aiden was being to me. He ought to, though, after locking me here in chains and withholding food.
Although I didn't want to listen to any of their voices, it had irritated me that everyone was ignoring me and didn't let me have any entertainment. Each time I found something to keep myself occupied with, either cooking (they occasionally let me go to the kitchen based on 'good behavior but only let me pour myself cereal), cleaning, or even playing by myself with a stack of cards, they wouldn't allow it. When I had whined and asked them why they had just muttered Matthias. My blood boiled easily when I realized that he had been the cause of my boredom, each and every time. He's such a baby; it was just a stupid kiss on the lips.
