Gladius's POV

Who was that man?

Why was she so close to him?

Why was she so happy with him?

Wait but why would I care about some random ordinary girl?

Could she be my sou...? No that's impossible.

All these thoughts were going through my mind as my car reached my office building the next morning.

I hurriedly approached my personal elevator because I had a lot of work today and a very important meeting with the alphas from all over the world.

And suddenly without warning a smile flashed in front of my eyes, her smile. I knew I won't survive this meeting without her so I did something to calm me down and Mortem.

"Dante, I need you to do me a favour." I said calling Dante.

"Yes what is it King?" He asked.

"You know I don't have an assistant and today's meeting is important so I need one. So would you mind lending me your assistant for today?" I asked him trying to sound as casual as possible.

"Yes why not Gladius, but are you sure about it, I mean she is just an ordinary mundane." He reasoned.

"Yes I am sure and I will be there if anything gets out of control." I hung up saying this.

After talking to Dante I was very impatient and so was Mortem. It was like we're waiting for something to happen but didn't know what were we waiting for. Trying to regain my concentration I resumed my work but after every five seconds I was looking towards the door and yet we didn't know that what we were looking for. But all these questions were answered with a knock and then a head popped in.

"May I come in sir?" She asked in a voice which gave me a feeling never known to me, a feeling which was a foreign to me but yet comforting.

"Yes come in Miss Woods." And with this she entered my office where no woman had ever set foot but little did I know that those small feet didn't just step into my office but in my life too and this meeting was going to change everything

Forever.
