My Soul

It is often said that a change in behaviour begins with a change in heart.But I never believed in this saying because that is impossible for a heartless person like me . Everything started changing when she entered in my life yesterday,when she entered in my office today, my mind started rethinking about this saying, it started thinking that maybe even a creature like me can experience emotions which are chained and forbidden for me. But I disagreed because what I was thinking was out of bounds for me, I started looking for a source of light to illuminate my world which had already been planned to remain dark forever and ever. As much as I was denying but Mortem was hell bent on reminding me of my mother's words," filium meom nothing lasts forever except for love that is true". Yes whenever I got hurt or encountered anything bad she used to tell me this. And with this thought in my life I went through every pain and every bad experience but after that day things changed, now everything could be changed but not my life . But how wrong i was to think this, I had no idea because what was to come in the next few hours in my life was unknown to me.

The meeting did start like any other normal Annual Pack Meeting held for packs all over the world. All the Alphas were telling me about their complains about their territories or the sudden rise in the population of Rogues.I have to do something to get rid of these scum, I mean these Rogues are thrown out of their packs to teach them a lesson, not to make a society of their own and cause disturbances. But even though I was so much engrossed in the meeting but one thing I noticed was that the Alpha of a small pack near Alaska was continuously gulping his water in one go and asking Rosalinda to fill it. This thing was being repeated after every ten minutes interval and it was getting annoying as hell. This Alpha is an old man but his desire for women is neither getting old nor is it hidden from the world. And the way he was looking at Rosalinda was not being appreciated by me. But I tried ignoring it because I thought he won't get any further. As I was listening to another Alpha about some complains on some other issues I heard a giggling sound, my head snapped in that direction and what I saw first broke something in me as well as it disgusted me.I saw that old filthy Alpha touching Rosalinda's arm and she was giggling, I was going to throw both of them out of my room for behaving in such way but as soon as I saw Rosalinda's face I stopped. I saw that she was not giggling to encourage the Alpha for what he was doing but she was feeling ticklish and thats why she giggled and this filthy man was taking advantage of her innocence.

I don't know what happened to me but suddenly I had so much anger and this strange feeling to protect her came to me out of nowhere. I pushed Rosalinda behind me and asked "How dare you disrespect a woman in front of me?" ,with this I was about to punch that man when suddenly Rosalinda jumped in between him and me and put her hands on my chest trying to push me. But as soon as she put her delicate hands on my chest I knew who she was.

Everything and everyone froze because something which had been frozen for a long time was unfrozen now. Its sound was faint but was enough to tell us about its presence and that something was my heart. And in that moment looking into the eyes of the beauty who had broken the shackles which had been placed on my heart I said only one thing.

"My Soul"

And that moment Mortem used his power to announce it to the whole world that the person in front of him is only his. A loud thundering was heard outside and every object of glass in the room shattered and the ground started shaking. I saw how things were getting destroyed and how the Alphas were trying to shield themselves from any harm, so I put my hand around Rosalinda in order to protect her. I didn't move from my place because everything that was happening was my doing and I knew that soon it would stop. I could hear the sirens which were doing their job of warning people of a detected threat. And no sooner did the sirens go off, all of my warriors came into the room to protect their King, they started pulling Rosalinda away from me because non of them knew who she was now, for them she was just a human who was an obstacle in saving their King's life. But all this could be understood by me , by me logical self, but for Mortem it was them taking his soul away for him and his own sirens went off with this. Now he was in full control and growled loudly to warn them and with this the shaking which was getting slowed down suddenly came to life again. The whole building was shaking so badly that even I knew that it would fall in the next ten minutes but I was not concerned for Rosalinda as I knew that Mortem won't let anything happen to her. But at that very moment Rosalinda who was frantically looking everywhere around the room looked up at me, into my eyes. Looking into my eyes she did something which  I never thought would be done by her, she confirmed my announcement by one simple yet powerful word.

"Yours"

As soon as she said this the building stopped shaking but she ran away and left me standing their to figure out everything that happened.  Since the time Mortem saw her, he started searching for a source of light to illuminate our world but what we got was something which none of us ever expected, 

we got our moon , we got our life , we got our soul.
