Rosalinda's POV

"Sir is everything looking alright?" I asked the King.

"Yes." He said not once looking from his files, a thank you would have done.

"So sir what am I supposed to do during the meeting, I mean do I need to take notes of everything? Actually I am new to all this so.. " I asked him nervously.

"No you just need to sit in that corner and do something when asked to do so." Was his monotonous reply, really this man needs some emotion in his life. While my thoughts were on the King and his emotions, suddenly a few gentlemen entered the conference room and I knew it was my cue to take the corner seat as told by the King.

The meeting was weird I mean I could not understand one word they were saying, not that they were using another language but it's just that nothing made sense to me they didn't call their companies as companies or industries but as territories. And if this was not weird then weirder was the fact that there was a middle aged man who from the beginning of the meeting used to drink all his water after every 10 minutes and asked for more. I guess it was his way of making me work since I was not doing anything but sitting idle.

As the king was going on and on about something called Rogues which I think is some living organism but was way too disgusting for the men sitting in this room as even Mr. Dante made a face at the mention of their name, that middle aged man again called me for water. But this time when I went to his table to pour water in his glass from the jug, he started touching my arms in a weird way and it was tickling me because I am really a very ticklish person.

"Sir what are you doing?" I asked him trying to suppress my smile from the ticklish feeling but then I was yanked off from my spot and placed behind someone and the person who yanked me off was none other than the King himself.

"How dare you disrespect a woman in front of me?" and with this he was about to punch the middle aged man when I jumped in front him and placed my hands on his chest in order to push him away from the man but then everything froze.

The moment I placed my hands on his chest it was like time stopped because then I didn't hear even a single sound but the sound of a heart beating suddenly as if it had been frozen and heard the king saying

"My Soul"

as if he was trying to announce this to the whole world.

And the moment I heard it, there was a loud thundering and all the objects of glass in the room shattered and the ground started shaking but none of this affected me because I had a shield of my own and that shield was the King. All the sirens in the building went off that there was an emergency and security guards poured in the room and tried to break off the Kings hold from me because when my hand went up on his chest he had also placed his hands on my waist which had gone unnoticed by me.

But then I heard a loud growling which I am sure was not a growl but the thundering because it was too loud to be stated as a growl and with it the entire building started shaking badly. I was getting scared and looked around for help and saw Mr. Dante trying to mouth something, something along the lines like 'Do something'. But I didn't know what to do but then when I looked in front of me I saw the kings eyes were golden and there was an unknown emotion in them and that's when I realized that the King was neither letting me go nor was he going anywhere which had put both of us in danger. My mind was racing with ideas but then I did something which was simple yet unexpected from me as I didn't even know the meaning of it. I said looking into his eyes, as if confirming his announcement.

"Yours"
