Chapter 16

Six months later in Cuba

Being a little over eight months long into the pregnancy is really tough. Jack and I arrived in Cuba about two months ago but since I was bigger, it was hard for me to walk around, so I had to stay on the ship. Which was bad because Jack and his crew got to go tour Cuba for the last month and a half while I sat on my now too sore bottom while they had fun.

Jack had walked onto the boat while I was standing there waiting for him. "Took you guys long enough." I sighed. "Sorry. Cuba seems small but it isn't." Jack said. "I wish I could look around." I pouted and looked over the side of the ship at the people. "Sorry, love." Jack said. "I know we came together. So maybe I need to stay here with ye." He said and held me in his arms. I shook my head into his chest. "No. It is okay." I sighed.

He played with my hair with one hand and had his other on my stomach. I felt the baby kick and so did Jack because I heard him lightly gasp. I smiled up at him. He smiled down at me. "I cant wait for our baby to come." I said to him. He nodded and kissed me lightly. I pulled back when I felt pain in my stomach. My face cringed. "Savannah?" Jack asked me. I felt a liquid come out from my area. "I think I'm going into labor." I said. Jack went into panic mode. "Jack. It's okay. Go get a doctor." I said. He led me to his cabin. "I'll be back." He said and ran out of the room.

I laid on the bed, in pain. The pain started to get worse and worse. Jack came back into the cabin with a doctor. The doctor checked me out while Jack held my hand. "Are ye okay?" He asked. I lightly smiled at him. "I'm fine." I said. "Does anything hurt?" He asked. I shook my head. "Not really pain. Just lots of discomfort." I said. I reached my hand up to Jack's face. "I love you." I said. He smiled down at me with tears in his eyes. "I love ye, too." He said. "Okay, Savannah. You need to push." The doctor told me. I did as I was told and started to push.

5 hours later

I laid on the bed with Jack and our new baby girl. We named her Elizabeth Grace. "She's so beautiful." Jack whispered to me. He lightly touched her face and she moaned. She had some light brown hair on her head and she had brown eyes when she opened them. "She is so perfect." I said as I couldn't take my eyes off of her. She had Jack's tan skin and his facial features. "She is definitely going to look like her daddy when she grows up." I said. Jack smiled. "She will." He said.

I lightly rubbed her cheek with my thumb. "As far as I can tell, she only has my color hair." I started. "Otherwise she looks like you." I said. Jack kissed the side of my head. "I think it is the best time to ask you something." Jack said. I looked up to him. "Ask me what?" I asked. He fumbled around in one of his pockets and pulled out a ring. I gasped. "Jack..." I said. He grabbed my left hand and put the ring on my ring finger. "I found it at one of the shops back on land. I had bought it when we first got here." He told me.

I was speechless. "I want ye and Elizabeth with me forever." He said. I teared up. I still couldn't find any words. He wiped away my tears. I smiled. There was a knock then Mr. Gibbs's head popped in. "Did the lass say yes?" He asked. I smiled at him and nodded. "Hey. She said yes." Mr. Gibbs yelled behind him. There was a cheer from outside. I laughed and nuzzled my face into Jack's neck.

Elizabeth lightly whimpered and woke up. "Oh. Poor baby." I cooed and rocked her. She started to cry. "Aww." Jack said and took her away from me. She instantly stopped crying and looked up at Jack. "Who's that, Elizabeth?" I asked. Her little hand stretched up to his face. "That is your daddy." I said to her. She was very alert for a newborn. I kissed Jack's cheek. "I love you." I said. Jack smiled. "I would say ye were the best thing that happened to me." He said. My face dropped. "But our daughter is the best thing that happened to me. But ye are a very close second." He said.

I giggled and smiled. I yawned. "Ye had done a lot. Ye can sleep. I got Elizabeth." Jack said. I laid my head down and closed my eyes. "Love ye, Savannah." I heard Jack say before I fell asleep.
