I held my pocket knife close to my chest as I prayed that someone would come to rescue me, but I knew they weren't.
Uncle Damien was way too old and Kala was gone.
There was no one left.
A tear rolled down my cheek but I hurriedly wiped it away.
I had to be strong.
"Yeah, I heard about that, it's crazy"
"This world man, this world"
There were people talking outside of the room I was locked in.
I pressed my ear on to the door.
"Really? I didn't think he'd be willing to kill her. That'd be going against what the girl had said"
"You don't know Ash well enough then do you?"
The voices came closer to me and I realised, they were talking about me.
Ash was going to kill me.
I scattered against the wall. My whole body was shaking. I couldn't die, who would look after Uncle Damien?
I had to find Kala too. It wasn't my time to die yet.
My nerves came to a sudden and realistic halt.
If they were going to send me to Ash to kill me, then I'd have to be let out of here.
I could try and attempt to escape.
Before I could draw up a solid plan, or any plan the door flung open.
"Get up kid"
One of them said, he had dark curly hair and pale skin, I think his name was Hunter. The other boy had short and scruffy blonde hair, he nodded in agreement with his friend.
"Aren't you going to restrain me?"
I pouted. Why were they making this so easy? Too, too easy.
"Why? Do we need to?"
Hunter winked. Was he really flirting with me?
He held out his gloved hand for me to grab.
I walked past it and towards the other room. The two boys rushed hurriedly behind me.
"Hey, wait up!"
One called, I could hear them panting.
"Leaving so soon?"
Ash said as he tightly grabbed my arm.
"Calm down fuck boy I'm not escaping. I was actually looking for you"
Ash rolled his eyes at the two boys who were suppose to keep me with them.
"Let's talk somewhere else"
He gestured his head towards a small room at the far right of the house.
"What's that? Your murder chamber?"
Ash rolled his eyes again.
"You're hilarious"
He said dryly as we walked towards the room.
It only had a compact and useless coffee table, a map which was nailed on to the wall and a shelf.
He pushed the coffee table to one side and locked the door.
"What are you-"
My heart began beating faster by the second and I moved back towards the coffee table.
"Relax, I'm not going to kill you"
I breathed out heavily.
"Not yet"
He smirked at me.
Ugh, that smirk was so sickening. It made shivers run down my spine.
"Cut the shit. Why am I here?"
I sat on the coffee table, crossing my legs over one-another.
"Did mommy never teach you that spying is bad?"
"No, mommy left when I was five. So I'd shut the fuck up if I were you"
Ash widened his eyes. He didn't expect me to say that. I didn't expect it either.
"Make me"
Was that a challenge? I raised an eyebrow at him.
"Azlyn. I can't just let you go. My boys need to know I'm still the leader and that, a pretty little girl won't cause me to go all soft"
He neared towards me, cracking his knuckles.
Ash didn't scare me as much as he did before back in that shop. Now it was one on one, and I had tactics.
"Then kill me"
I said bluntly. He wouldn't actually kill me, would he?
"I..I don't have my knife"
He stuttered. I laughed silently to myself, he's such a fronter.
My hand reached into my pocket and I pulled out my one.
"That's okay, you can use mine"
I smiled sweetly. He paced forward and knelt before me, grabbing the knife and examining it. He smirked again before swiftly grabbing my wrists.
"What's wrong?"
He asked as he sliced my right arm, it stung immensely as the sharp blade pierced my skin.
I bit the inside of my cheek and refused to look at my now bleeding arm.
He wiped the knife on his shirt, cleaning the blood away.
He then released me wrists and slid my pocket knife across the floor.
"I'm not going to kill you"
He lowered his voice and leaned into me so that only I could hear him.
"But I will teach you your place"
Our faces were almost touching.
"I know my place. Do you know yours?"
I seethed.
My hand was tight around my bloody arm. It hurt to look at it.
The cut wasn't deep so it stopped bleeding after a while.
I tried my best to ruffle his surprisingly soft hair before shakily standing up and moving away and towards the door.
"Come back"
He protested, pulling himself up off of the blood stained ground.
I bent down and picked up my now blunt knife.
"What's wrong Ash? Did a pretty girl make you go all soft?"
I giggled at him. I had to try and look bold and daring, and show that a cut wouldn't stop me from disobeying him.
"You're a smart little bitch aren't you?"
"You could say that"
Ash moved towards me when he saw my unsteady hand on the door knob. He hastily put his over mine and stood in front of me so that I couldn't leave.
"Seriously?"
I asked, slightly annoyed. I wasn't even trying to be sassy anymore. He was just getting on my nerves.
First he locked me away, then he cut me and now he's stopping me from leaving.
"You're not getting away that easily kitty"
"I really wish you'd stop calling me that"
I huffed and moved my sore hand away from his. I just needed to go home.
"Why? It's your new name"
He winked at me. My jaw almost dropped. What?
"New name?"
What was Ash on about? I had a perfectly fine name. I didn't need his stupid nickname.
"You're part of my gang now"
