Chapter Twenty-Six

And we made two new friends.

"What if they don't like me?"
Luke asked, biting his nails nervously as he stared at the boutique from Michaels car. The blue haired man patiently sat in the car with his hand on the blonde boys thigh, his thumb rubbing circles into his stockings.

"We can go in whenever
you're ready, but it's already
5:55 and you're interview is at 6"
Michael pointed out. Luke groaned, pulling his beanie down over his ears.

"Come on sweetheart, I'll be right there with you today. If you need me just tell me and I'll be right there to hold your hand" Michael encouraged, assuring Luke that he wouldn't leave him to do this on his own. Luke nodded his head, opening his car door and getting out. Michael followed, walking around to the blonde and wrapping an arm around his waist as they crossed the street. Luke nervously fiddled with his fingers as they walked into Betty's Boutique. Two girls were already in there, one behind the cash register and the other refolding clothes.

"Hi. Can I help you find anything?"
The tall brunette folding clothes asked
with a polite smile. Luke froze, clutching Michaels shirt tightly as he looked up at the taller boy with wide eyes.

"He's here for an interview"
Michael said, holding Luke
tighter to comfort him.

"Holy shit you are so adorable"
The girl at the cash register yelled, hopping over the counter and walking up to Luke. The blonde blushed, leaning against Michael.

"Adria look how cute he is. Oh my goodness he's blushing, that's adorable"
The tall blonde exclaimed, a wide smile on her face.

"Penny back up. You're scaring him"
The brunette, who's name was more than likely Adria, said as she pushed Penny back.

"Janine should be in the back
I'll go get her for you honey"
Adria smiled politely.

"T-thank you"
Luke smiled small, his cheeks cooling down as the girls walked away.

"See babe, they already love you"
Michael whispered, kissing Luke's cheek gently

"Alright Hun, just follow me"
Adria said, gesturing for Luke to
follow her into the back.

"Do you need me to go with you?"
Michael asked in a whisper. Luke bite his lip as he shook his head, slowly walking away from Michael to follow the girl. Michael pursed his lips, trying not to smile brightly at how well his sweetheart was doing. Luke had called the boutique and got the information for the online application all by himself and by the time Michael had gotten home, Luke had completed his application and was simply waiting for Michael to proof it. Michele was extremely proud of his blonde boyfriend, and he was going to do something special if- when- Luke got the job.

"So you're his boyfriend?"
A female voice asked curiously. Michael looked over at the tall brunette who was folding and piling clothes.

"Uh- yeah"
Michael nodded.

"He seems pretty shy to even
be hanging around a guy with
dyed hair and an eyebrow piercing.
Does he secretly do drugs or something?"
The girl asked with a chuckled. Michael shook his head, the mental image of Luke doing drugs made him cringe.

"No. He is pretty innocent but we're really good together. Well, at least I think we are"
Michael chuckled, scratched at the of his neck. Adria laughed lightly.

"He looks sweet. I didn't really mean anything by my last question, it kinda sounded like I was being bitch but I was just curious. He really does seem sweet"
Adria said, her tone kind and genuine. Michael nodded, a subconscious smile playing on his lips as his mind filled with thoughts of the blonde.

"He's perfect in every way to me. I'm
just glad I get to call him mine"
Michael smiled.

"I know the feeling"
Adria said, her eyes casting over to the tall blonde who was working the cash register. Michael smiled when he watched penny look up and meet Adria's gaze, their cheeks reddening as they looked away.

"How long have you two been together?"
Michael asked with a warm smile.

"Almost 3 years"
Adria said. Before Michael could respond, Luke came walking back out with an older women who was dressed in loose clothing, a large baby bump hidden beneath a large tee shirt.

"Hello. You must be Michael.
My name is Janine, I own the boutique"
The women said, holding her hand out for Michael. The boy shook her hand and gave her a smile.

"Yeah, I'm Michael, it's nice to meet you"
The boy smiled as Luke stood beside him. Michael wrapped his arm around Luke's waist, holding him close.

"Well it was very nice to meet you both. Luke I will see you Monday at 10"
Janine smiled before walking away. Michaels eyes widened as he turned to the blonde

"You got the job?"
He asked.

"I got the job!"
Luke exclaimed, jumping to wrap his arms around Michaels neck. Michael hugged the blonde, kissing his shoulder lightly.

"I'm so proud of you sweetheart"
Michael whispered as he set the small boy down. Penny and Adria came up to Luke and gave him wide smiles.

"looks like we'll be seeing a lot of you. It'll be nice to have a friend. See you Monday, Luke. It was nice meeting you Michael"
Adria said, giving Luke a small hug and Michael a nod. Penny went full frontal wrapping her arms around both Luke and Michael.

"Congratulations Luke. I'll see you soon"
She said as she pulled away. The two boys bid their goodbyes before leaving the boutique.

"Alright, celebratory dinner. What do you feel like having my employed boyfriend"
Michael smiled as he led the blonde to his car. Luke thought as they both got into the car.

"Can we just go home? We can cook pasta or maybe pizza and watch a movie"
Luke suggested, placing his hand on the center console. Michael smiled softly, placing his hand on Luke's as he nodded.

"Of course sweetheart. Let's go home"
