Warfront: Gatria at War

Chapter One

"Tomorrow is the last day of high school! Imagine all the parties and beer we can have!" my friend Alex shouts excitedly.

"But we can't drink until we're 21." Conner, my other friend said.

"Not true! If there's no cops around, anything could be legal!" Alex said with a cheeky smile.

"It's too bad, you're going to have to wait through class." I tell him.

"And the rest of the day." Dakota, Conner's girlfriend added.

"Why is everyone trying to kill my joy!" Alex complains.

"I would agree with you Alex, but your weird when your drunk. You being sober is weird enough." I admit to him.

The bell rang and we had to go to class. We had to drag Alex with us as he complained and whined like a 5 year old. When we entered class everyone had sat down except for Alex. He and my teacher would have the usual morning argument and then after that math begins. Dakota and Conner would get the answers all right. Alex and I would have a crumpled paper war. After that, next period begins P.E.. Conner and I would always compete against each other. While Alex and Dakota struggle to do anything.

Today was jogging around the gym 20 times. "C'mon boy, you've only done two laps!" The P.E. teacher yells at Alex.

"I don't think your a man, because you have a hard time calming your tits!" Alex retaliates.

Alex keeps arguing with the teacher while Dakota laughs at every insult. Conner and I raced with such determination around the gym. Conner won by cheating, I had to laugh at that one.

The next period we were walking towards auto shop but we were stopped by an asshole named Nick. Nick was a school bully who messed with gay kids. Alex had a boyfriend once so he wanted to pick a fight with Alex. But that won't happen because he knows Conner and I will kick his ass around like a foot ball. But not only is he a asshole to gays but also all Gatrians of the United Federation. He thought all from Imperium  were better and the Imperium was the holy land, everything else is a just waste of free space.

"Hey bitch ass Federate fag!" Nick the asshole said to innocent Alex. Conner immediately got in Nick's face. Nick jumps back. "You stay away from me you dirty Federate!" He commanded "It's better than being a Imperium pig who lies and cheats just to get their way." Conner stated. "Now walk away before this becomes a fist fight, you know you'll get your ass kicked." I told him. Nick walks away and we continue to walk to auto shop.

At auto shop my friends and I help Conner. We help make automobiles. Dakota however is really good with machines. Which made Dakota and Conner spend a lot of time together, you can say that's what sparked their relationship. I was so happy for them. They were a great couple. Alex and I remembered their first kiss. Dakota forcefully kissed Conner one day because he was too shy. But now it's all the time.

After that it was lunch, and that's when Dakota and Conner spent the most time together and made out like crazy. But instead of kissing, Conner and Dakota talked to Alex about that jerk while I got them food. Conner said it was the Imperium that taught him to be like that. Although the Imperium was greedy and started a few wars, you can't blame all their people. Alex although ok I wasn't, I wanted to mess him up right then. But tomorrow's the last day so there was kind of no point.

Next up was Language Arts. I was going to work but I felt a paper hit the back of my head. At an instant I knew it was Alex and this meant war. Alex and I repeated what happened in Math. Conner and Dakota repeated what happened at Math too. The teacher doesn't care to stop Conner and I fighting with paper because he left to migrate westward. Some people migrate to Vallcam Mountain. They go to see the ancient temple of locked arcane. I don't believe anyone or anything can lock magic away from the world. But lots of people believe that. But the point was no teacher, no work, no rules, no one says anything. Until Nick found out and ruined everything. No one got in trouble but we had to get back to work.

Walking through the halls of my soon to leave school to my next class. Then suddenly I notice some shady figures with Nick. I tried to ignore it and just go to class but that looked kinda suspicious. I just continued on any way.

"Today were going to take a test." My science teacher told the class.

Alex and I answered honestly and correctly because we really respect the science teacher. He was one of the well known people to separate the U.F. from the Imperium control and heavy taxes. Everyone thought it would mean war but it's been 2 months since we claimed independence.

At the last period of the day Alex was dying. He stared at the clock with such concentration.  The last class was Karh studies. An old forgotten language of a extinct race of birdlike people. The Karh was eliminated by the race Naga. The Naga died out because of Imperium pollution spreading across their swamp homeland.

After the bell rang. "Yes finally!" Alex shouted and ran right out the door.

We knew where he was running to. It was to the new theater that opened up. We weren't going to try to keep up with him. If only he ran like that in P.E.

While Dakota, Conner and I were walking out of school we saw a shady man watching the school. I was going to report the creep but he was gone the next second. When we got to the theater he handed us popcorn and sodas. He wanted us to watch a comedy cartoon. I thought why not but Dakota wanted to watch a animal documentary. And Conner wanted to watch a war movie.

We were torn for a while then we chose to just watch the cartoon.
