-Day One-

Private Kelly and I were ordered to scout out for enemy activity.

''You were from that one town that got attacked?'' Kelly said to me.

''Yeah, I was.'' I replied with a sigh.

"I'm sorry, I had a friend who lived there. He fought and died for his family. Can you tell me what the attack was like?" Kelly asked.

"It's like hell broke out all of the sudden. As I fought to survive I was covered in my friends blood." I answered.

"Thank you for answering. We should probably focus on the mission." Kelly said.

We carefully made our way through the baron waste land, just outside Lantorn. We had to use masks to block out the smoke. It used to be a part of Lantorn but the smoke and ash killed everything here. No activity just stillness.

"Imperium's gonna pay for this." Kelly whispered.

After a while of waiting we had to head back to the fort. Back at the fort we fixed up the radio to call for reinforcements in case of an attack. After that Martins and I were paired up to fix up some land mines. It was so awkwardly silent. He didn't say anything but, "Hand me that." and he only said that once. When he was fixing one I noticed his right leg was prosthetic.

And then Sgt. ordered me to help Cooper make rations for the troops. Cooper loved cooking and making food. He wanted to be a chef but his father didn't approve. His dad only taught him how to play Rush Ball.

Once it got dark, Cooper and I were done. Before I could get some shut eye I had to take a shift on watch with guess who, Martins.

It was 100% quiet for a while and that made me want to go to sleep. Then he said something to me.

"I am sorry about Conner." Martins said quietly.

"How did you know about that?" I asked.

"Our families are close friends." He answered.

"I wish there was something I could have done to save him. I was with his family at the time when the attack happened. A motor hit the side of his house and the wall collapsed on my leg. I was buried in debris for a while until his younger sister found me and got help to get me out. I remember his family looking for him. " Martins said.

"He died a hero." I told him.

-Day Two-

Waking up early wasn't a problem to me. So this morning wasn't hard for me but it was for Arnold. He was kinda a heavy sleeper. The rest of the day seemed more like a repeat but only I got to talk to Martins a bit more.

-Day Three-

Things are going missing around the fort. People are starting to blame each other. Martins and Kelly told me they felt as if they were being watched. Something weird was going on around the fort.

-Day Four-

Kelly and I were on watch when the attack happened.

"Sgt. the Imperium is here, call for the reinforcements!" Kelly yells on the radio.

I watch as the enemy is caught off guard by the traps. It thins out there numbers extremely. Then we open fire upon the remaining forces. For a second we thought we were winning when they scattered but they were only regrouping. It looked as if a hundred of them approached. Then our reinforcements came and then, it was a even fight. On the forts walls we all fought bravely. This moment was the moment I felt vengeance and rage pump through me. I had ran out of the fort and flanked the enemy.

Face to face with enemy soldiers I shot them point blank. I ran around killing soldiers left and right. No mercy for anyone. Once I ran out of ammo I dropped my gun and pulled out my knife. Anyone who tried to fight me had been killed. I was just tearing them apart. Some ran away in fear of me.

But I wasn't I invincible, the last thing I saw was a boy my age pull out a pistol and shot me in the chest three times in fear. I dropped to the ground feeling cold. I believed this was the last moment of my life and I was going to die an idiot. I try to stay awake thinking if I close my eyes I'll die. I look back at the boy who shot me to see he had been shot. Slowly my eyes close.

"I'm sorry, I failed you. Conner." I say in pain. I close my eyes but I still here the sound of gun shots. Slowly the sound fades. But then I feel something. Something dragging me. I try to open my eyes but they won't open. Then I am totally unconscious.

When I wake up, but I am not where I thought I was going to be.
