Your POV

Mmmm.... Is it morning already?.. I don't wanna go to school.... I lazily opened my eyes and saw a glimpse of sunshine through the curtain windows. What time is it? Before I did anything I notice I was sleeping on a bed. Wait what? Garroth didn't listen did he.... I sat up and rubbed my eyes. Where did Garroth sleep for the night? I'll have to apologize to him for taking his original spot...

I glanced at the clock on the wall and saw I was up 30 minutes earlier yay... Only now I noticed I was still wearing an outfit from yesterday all that changing and....my head still aches from even thinking about it... I got up from bed and grabbed a comb from the nightstand and started combing my hair then did the usuals once again. I slowly opened the door making sure no ones going to spo-

"Good morning, Y/n right? Garroth already told me your staying here and I don't mind. Breakfast is ready in the kitchen. I'll see you later I got to wake up Zane again.. Oh and the names Vlad."

I gave him a crooked smile as he left. Glad to know somebody that lives in this house other than Garroth is ok with me. Ok the the kitchen.... Where's the kitchen again? I took a while wondering around the house very carefully not to wake anyone up. When I finally found it I saw a plates of waffles on the table. I quickly ate up and got ready to the new day at school. I'm going need to find a way to get money...

"Are you ready to go Y/N?" Said a voice. I turned and saw Garroth. I slightly smiled then nodded. I opened the door and started walking to school. "You know you didn't have to do that..." I said quietly to him as we walked. " I know. You slept before you even got to my room so I carried you there." He replied. I reached above my head for my hood but realized I didn't wear one today.

Soon we arrived at Phoenix Drop High. "I'll see you later than." Garroth waved goodbye to me and left for his first class as I left for mine.

I felt myself sweating as I head down the halls for science. Today was Friday. Why am I so nervous for science? Because my science teacher said both partners has to participate when we present the science fair project. Which means I have to do something other then smile and wave. Which means I have to....speak. The project was due next week so it's not a worry for now but soon...

I sat down at the back row and calmed myself as the science teacher walks in and started speaking. "As all of you know, the project is due next week on Wednesday so you better get it done this weekend. Oh and, after the science fair is the big day! Yes, yes it's the day if the field trip to Falcon claw national park! Since you guys don't really have a assignment in science these days because of the science fair, today I would like you to...."

I half listen to the science teacher because I was distracted by the window. No. Something outside the window. A black hawk gazing through the glass like a statue. Something about that hawk disturbs me. Something that I can't quite place my finger on. Those eyes....ones that looked like that girl I only seen once Charlotte and owned by another person...

I walked out the school still thinking of.....that.. Too familiar..  was walking way ahead from me because I kept stopping to think. "Y/N?.. Are you okay?" Garroth asked walking to me. I nodded and looked around to make sure no one was near us. "Hey Garroth? Can we stop by the park for a while before we head home?" I asked. "Sure." He replied. I smiled. I needed to do something to keep my mind off of assuming things.

I swung my backpack to the ground and laid into the fresh green grass and my lips formed a huge smile as we arrive at the park. The playground was still standing here after so many years. Garroth slipped off his backpack and did the same. "I never seen you so happy before Y/N." He said.

My smile grew a bit smaller. "Hm? What do you mean?" I asked. "It's just..ever since I met you your smile is either forced or just a small one. Looking at you now it's bigger than ever!"

"Yea? Well then, enjoy it because it's not going to last for long." I said. I close my eyes to relax in the sun but before I did that, I could've swore I saw a smirk on Garroth's face. Oh Irene what is he planning?.. Before I could react myself, I was interrupted by my own laughter laughing non stop. "HAHAHHAHA! G-Garroth s-stop..." I said between laughs. "Hmm... What's the word I'm looking for again? Oh yeah, NEVER IN A THOUSAND SPIN!" He laughs along.

"I-I swear when I get out of here!" I threatened while still giggling. I managed to get out of the laughing machine for a brief moment then tackled Garroth to the ground until I was on top of him."Heheheh... Who's the one with power now?!" I laughed. "Ok, Ok you win!" He surrendered. I smirked and was about to get off of him but in a poof of a second, he was on top of me. "H-Hey no fair!" I said nervously. I now only realize how close his face was from mine.

"Haha fine I'll get off of you." He said then standed up and gave me a hand. I took it and gaze at the small playground. "Come on!" Garroth exclaimed taking my hand. "H-Huh?" Was all I could say before he threw me onto the swing set then started pushing me back and forth. It felt like old times when both my parents would push me back and forth on the swings everyday. I smiled at him and started pumping my legs as I went up and down.

When I was high enough I jumped off the swing and landed on my feet. "Thanks for reminding me of my childhood." I said. "Thank you for reminding me of my childhood. My dad would take me and my brothers here when we were little. I would push both of my brothers on the swing once in a while. When they both became a grown boy, they didn't play around the playground anymore." Garroth explained

"Oh. My parents would do the same thing for me. Until one day I..." My words trailed off. Garroth putted both of his arms around me. "You don't have to go on. Your past isn't my business so you don't have to tell me or anyone."He said softly into my ear. I shook my head and pulled away. "I can't keep it to myself forever. Garroth can I......can I trust you?"

He smiled at my warmly. "Of course you can but still if you don't want to-

"I ran away from home. I ran away from home because I hated the changes the happened to my family that destroyed all the peace so I ran. Both my parents were wonder persons but my dad was the one who changed. My mom had to work multiple jobs to keep our home running while my dad gambles all the money they both make. Every night I listen to them fighting my mom complaining to my dad that he shouldn't go to those casinos anymore."

"I wanted a normal life like everyone else. A normal life I once had. So I ran. I ran away from my problems because I couldn't take it anymore. I camped everyday in the forest to live instead of living in a real house. Everyday now and then I would blame myself for running. Blame myself for leaving my mom in pain. Both my parents in pain. If I did something to fix their arguments it wouldn't had been like this...

"But when I started school again this year. They were here. They were the people who made the happy exciting girl who was everyday into a lonely, disgusting, depressing, girl who I am today..."

I was nearly in tears after saying that but warm hands wiped them away before any could fall. "I'm glad you told me Y/N. But what you did wasn't you to blame. Who were the 'they' you talks about?" Garroth asked.

" 'They' were Zenix and his gang...... "
