Chapter 7: Leeyum!

His reverie was broken by a voice at his side.

"Here, grab my arm. Your safe now"

What, did you think Zayn killed himself?

Zayn had been so transfixed by the mysterious ship that he didn't even see the small dinghy steer its way towards him. He was pulled firmly inside, onto the boats wooden boards. Now that his gargantuan effort was over, he felt utterly drained.

"Just lie there and breath as best as you can. You're halfway drowned but you'll still live"

His rescuers voice was smooth and precise. Zayn could see narrow boots and tight leggings above, but as he tried to raise his head higher to see more, a sudden pain ripped through his neck.

"Lie still boy, no sudden movements, your bones have take a bollocking"

It was a young woman's voice.

"Who are you? Where are you taking me?"

In spite of her warning. He pulled him self up to see her better. Brown, almond eyes stared back at him. Long, black hair was swept back off the woman's face and bound, with leather strings into a tight ponytail.

"My name is Jenna"

She said. Zayn's eyes took in Jenna's strange clothing. Over a thin dark jersey. She wore a leather jerkin. On one arm was a red and black band, set with a green stone. It appeared to be the sole piece of decoration on her other wise utilitarian uniform. About her waist was what looked like a heavy belt, attached to which was a curbed holster. Zayn's eyes widened with realisation.

"You're a... Pirate"

"Ah, so the mind at least is intact. Yes boy, I'm a pirate."

"Where are you taking me?"

"To our ship of course. The dammed sailer"

Zayn lay back and watched her now. Her movements were precise and accomplished. Jenna was tall, scarcely bigger than Liam and she was clearly strong.

"Liam!"

He was unable to stop himself from speaking his name aloud.

"What was that boy?"

"My boyfriend!"

"Aw so you're gay?... Shame"

Jenna muttered the last word under her breath.

"Yeah!"

Zayn said suddenly quite excitedly.

"He is the most amazing boyfriend and he is sooooo beautiful... Ugh god"

Zayn started to cry and Jenna rolled her eyes in annoyance. She lightly patted his back.

"We're here, boy. Save the crying and boyfriends for later, we have a surprise for you!"

Zayn opened his mouth to say something, but he saw the ship they had pulled alongside to. Could it be the ship he had seen before? He looked up trying to decide wether it was the ship with the wing like sails. Jenna had pulled in the oars and was busy signalling for help.

"Drew! You lazy git! Get down here and help me!"

Zayn let out a weak sigh. For the first time, it dawned on him that he was safe. At least for now. He gave into his exhaustion and shut his eyes wondering what his surprise was. He suddenly woke up to the feeling of him flying but it was only the winch bringing the boat up to the ship. Soon enough they were on the main deck. Zayn stepped out of the boat and so did Jenna.

"Zayn?"

Zayn turned around

"Zaynieeee!!!"

Zayn realised it was his boyfriend Liam

"Leeyumm!!!"

Both boys ran up to each other and gave a big warm hug. They separated and kissed passionately, being reunited was amazing. The crew of pirates applauded, all but one pirate... Jenna.

"Ugh whatever..."

And with that Jenna stormed off into the depths of the ship. She secretly liked Zayn. In fact she wanted Zayn, it was just that stupid boy Liam getting in her way and Zayn being gay, but maybe she could convert him. Jenna chuckled to herself and began to do all the chores of the kitchen. Stupid Leeyum!
