Chapter 8: Jacob Eardley

When Liam woke up, the first thing he saw was sky. Dazzling blue above her. Then something strange happened. The piercing blue contracted, then began to stretch and separate into two blue circles. As his senses began to settle, he realised that he had not been looking at the sky at all, but into a pair of deep blue eyes. Zayn's eyes were brown, like his. These eyes were unfamiliar. They stared at him intently. As they pulled back further, he saw that they belonged to a boy. He looked older than him and Zayn -maybe twenty two or twenty three, or maybe even the same age as him. He had short brown hair with eyebrows to match. Looking down at him, he frowned.

"You're going to get me in trouble"

He said. The words made a little sense to him as everything else, but he recognised a strong Stoke (Stoke-on-Trent, search it on google maps ;)) brogue in his voice. He leaned forward and brushed his cheek lightly with his index finger. He was wearing a Claddagh ring on his finger. He had always wanted one of those rings, and so did Zayn, with the design of a heart clasped between two hands and with a crown above. But this one was slightly different. The hands clasped a skull with two swords not a heart with a crown.

"Who are you? Where am I?"

"Who are you?"

He heard how he sounded "hooooarrruuu". His breath was weak, his mouth and tongue patched.

"Here. Drink"

He took a leather flask from his pocket and dripped water gently over his lips. It felt good, though extremely cold and icy. He parted his lips and tried his best to catch the water. It took a moment for his mouth to start properly functioning again. He was focused on drinking that he scarcely noticed that he stopped poring the liquid into his mouth and started leaning in on him for a kiss. Then suddenl-...

"He Li, I've just had breakfast and I just wanted to spoon feed you in bed since you haven't woke up yet an-..."

Zayn came through the door with a bright smile on his face and holding a bowl of what looked like porridge. His smile suddenly faded as he saw the boy who was trying kiss Liam.

"Li? What are you doing..."

Zayn was still holding the bowl and now fresh tears were pouring out of his eyes and down his cheeks. Jacob pulled back on Liam and stood up awkwardly.

"Zayn, babe it's not what it looks lik-..."

"Oh... You already have a boyfriend, I thought you just gave him a friendly kiss when you two were reunited"

Jacob said flatly with a little bit of guilt.

"How did that look like a friendly kiss,"

Liam turned to Zayn who was now just sobbing quietly with the odd sniffle here and there. Liam moved over and patted the space next to him, beckoning for Zayn to come sit next to him. Zayn slowly walked over to Liam and sat beside him.

"Zayn it wasn-..."

"It was my fault! I'm sorry I didn't know you two were together!"

Jacob blurted out, and with that he ran out the door, he also looked as if he was crying as he went out.

"I'm sorry I doubted you Li"

"It's alright babe"

Zayn spoon fed Liam the porridge and they shared a few kisses here and there and just talked about how their day went yesterday and how each of them got rescued. Zayn was rescued by Jenna and Liam was rescued by Jacob. After Liam finished his porridge they cuddled in bed and whispered sweet nothing's into each others ears.

Jacob ran out the room crying and as we came out and was not in sight of both Liam and Zayn he started to full on sob. Jenna noticed him and asked what was wrong.

"It's Liam! Liam has already got a boyfriend!"

Jenna pulled Jacob in a hug and he sobbed his heart out into Jenna's shoulder.

"Aw I'm sorry, anyways how the hell did you not realise"

Jacob just sniffled and sat down onto the hard wood deck.

"Liam is so adorable he should be mine"

"Yeah well Zayn should be mine, but Liam had to get in the way"

Jenna replied, suddenly they both exchanged glanced.

"Wait, if they both split up then I can have Zayn and you can have Liam!"

Jenna shouted- whispered to Jacob. Jacob just looked up to the sky and thought. Would that be the right thing to do though? He did like Liam and Jenna did like Zayn. Maybe it is a good idea. Jacob smiled to himself and carried on chatting to Jenna.
