Lady Josephine was at work as usual. All of the more major and public reputation related things were reserved for the Inquisitor herself but aside from that, most diplomacy related concerns were left to Josephine. Speaking of the inquisitor her she came. Almost every chat they had involved some flowery compliment inserted into the herald's responses which made the diplomat suspicious that she longed for a stronger but less professional relationship. Josephine would return the feeling as she too was deeply attracted to the qunari woman but the what ifs always got in the way. What would people think of the Inquisition if the herald just went around seducing her associates? There was already so many rumors concerning lovers of the herald sometimes met with comments about the repulsiveness of interspecies relationships and how scandalous it was for such a holy figure to engage in acts of a possibly sexual nature.

"J-Josephine." Stuttered Adaar, appearing to be holding something behind her back.

"Yes Inquisitor?" Said Lady Montilyet, subtly trying to make out what was being clutched in the hands of her leader.

Adaar gulped shakily. "Can we maybe... Discuss a, um... Pressing matter?"

"Of...course?" Said Josephine in a tone of partial confusion.

Slowly, the inquisitor brought the bouquet where it was visible her crush. "I-I, um, I... Oh Maker I'll get this over with! I'm in love with you! Deeply in love with you! I've been hinting at it for weeks now but I-I just haven't had the courage to tell you up until now."

For a brief moment Josephine was speechless. She had suspected it but dismissed it as a slim chance of becoming a reality. Not that she was complaining at all, she was joyous in fact. The inquisitor had grown on her through the time they had spent together and couldn't help but admire her beauty as well as almost everything else about the Vashoth.

Finally, Josephine caught her breath and spoke. "Inquisitor..."

Adaar dropped her head, avoiding direct eye contact with the ambassador. "I-I understand if you don't feel the same... This whole thing is just silly, could you even imagine me, a saarebas and you, a skilled, beautiful, truly wonderful noblewoman."

Josephine wasn't too sharp when it came to qunari culture but she was aware how scathing and self-deprecating it was for the herald to call herself that. In quinlet it translated to "Dangerous Thing" and was usually used to refer to Qun mages. Knowing full well how these Mages were treated and depicted as Josephine quickly came to the qunari's side putting a hand on her usually mighty shoulder.
"No, inquisitor, listen to me, I have held my feelings back as well, I was worried, you know how people will talk about us, but now that we have both been confronted with such a passionate and mutual feeling for each other I feel that we should act on our hearts rather than our minds for once."

Adaar looked back up to Josephine, both locking eyes in a powerful stare, both knowing what they were about to jump into and at that point neither cared for the consequences. The lady accepted her gift of flowers, inhaling the fresh scent. How thoughtful of the inquisitor. She then set them upon her desk focusing her attention back on her now lover.

The qunari itched the base of her right horn and looked around not sure what to do after such a turn of events. "So, what is it that we do now?" Words spoken with a voice of both relief and wonder.

Josephine gave a warm smile, looking over the expression of Adaar's face. "Well, we could kiss, that seems like an appropriate first milestone in this new relationship."

Adaar's cheeks turned a shade closer to pink in comparison to her grey-tan skin. This would be her first kiss, her first romantic one anyways. She had no time for any sort of preparation or response before receiving the loving embrace of her Chief Diplomat and a hot peck on the qunari's lips followed by the embrace growing ever more passionate, the both of them responsible for the advancement. The feeling of a lover's arms was the most pleasant thing any of them had felt in such dark times. After they had both gotten their fill of affection, Josephine and the Inquisitor parted physically.

"Well, I guess I'll... Leave you to your work then." Said Adaar before doing just that.

They could both feel that this would be the best decision of their now lovingly intertwined lives.
