Apparently, it had not been their waiter who had wanted both lady Montilyet and the Inquisitor dead but the Sue chef. After the soldiers had captured and interrogated them it was discovered they operated as a political assassin that was notorious for their anonymity, the name they gave might've been fake as well. Adaar did not like the whole judging part of her job but it needed to be done by someone and it was best it be her. The assassin was escorted in cuffs by a pair of soldiers and shoved before her as she sat upon her chair of fate.

"A supposed 'Chef Cul de la Baise', charged with attempting to murder both you and I as you very well know inquisitor." Said Lady Montilyet with an undertone of bitterness.

The large grey woman looked down upon their almost-killer. They appeared sly and crafted by their expression filled with defeat and hopes of mercy. A laughable thing to hope for in such a situation. A more brash person would immediately send such a person to the nearest chopping block but Adaar was fond of second chances and opportunities at redemption.

The Vashoth tapped their fingers together as she pondered wait sort of discipline would be given for such a crime. "Normally in all honesty... If it was anybody else, I would find a way for you to revoke your ways or perhaps put you on probation, but considering the circumstances, I am feeling considerably less... Merciful..." Said Adaar in a dark, vengeful tone.

The herald glanced to their mate who although seemed in agreement was also subtly surprised at how much the inquisitor could change in the span of minutes. With a minute sigh, she mentally retracted her original decision to send him to be executed immediately. "This however, does not make me a cruel or unjust inquisitor, speak your case of you feel it will sway my judgement."

There was a long pause, before a flurry of Orleasian accented shouts filled with furious off shooting of saliva. "You think you can just lock me up?! Have me executed?! I've killed enough people to fill your army tenfold!! You will not see the last of me after this!! Next time I'll make sure to use less cheap poison you Qun Tyrant!!"

This only made Adaar take pitty on such an arrogant soul. "Jail him." She said flatly before lifting a finger to show she was not done speaking. "And if he escapes, put a price on his head, more than equal to what he was paid to come after our head diplomat and myself. " as they were dragged away the inquisitor made a swift side-comment. "Also, I am Tal-Vashoth, though I doubt you even understand what that means." The new prisoner responded with an angry yell and a jerk backwards before being knocked unconscious for easier travel.

Adaar stepped down from her throne and over to her lady. "I apologize for not giving you more say in the matter, I should've talked with you beforehand." Said she to Josephine.

This, surprisingly was met with a kiss on the qunari's steel colored cheek. Montilyet proceeded to whisper gently into the inquisitor's sharp ear. "You did well, my love, couldn't have done it better myself."

The words uplifted the inquisitor, the combined with the quick yet meaningful display of affection brought upon a hot blush unto her and she quickly returned. Adaar didn't know why she didn't do this sooner. Judgement had always been so grim and nerve-racking. Josephine made it feel different all in the end, she and the diplomat both could sleep soundly tonight.
