Wednesday, November 30, 2016Dear Sydney,
Dang, I'm sorry to hear about your breakup as well. Guess the two of us just don't have very good luck, huh?
As a matter of fact though, I didn't really love Ashley. I don't think I really understand what love is...I guess because of that, I can't really give it to someone else. I can't tell someone I love them and not understand what I'm saying or feeling, you know? Plus, our relationship was not as long as yours; it only spanned about nine months, which was a long time, but not nearly as long as two years. Also, just a fun fact, January 7th happens to be my birthday. So that can be a happy thought for you on that day instead of a sad one.
I hear what you're saying about Ashley feeling embarrassed and sorry. I know she's sorry, but I just don't think I can forgive her. She cheated on me; she consciously thought about what she was doing and what she was essentially doing to me, and she did it anyways. I just can't make myself look past that. Whenever I see her or her name, all I can think of is her with Liam. I don't think about the good parts of our relationship; I think about what ended it.
I avoid her at school. She isn't in any of my classes this year, which I was upset about at the beginning of the year but which I see as a blessing now. Liam is in one of my classes, but we don't talk—I can't look at him without feeling the same things I feel when I see Ashley in the hallway, or when I see her name pop up on my phone screen.
And you're welcome for defending you on twitter. That girl seems like a piece of work. I know this will probably sound creepy, but I have nothing better to do with my life, so I went through a few people's twitters (mainly yours, Delaney's, and Kevin's) and they don't seem like good people, like, at all. I'm sorry that they were so horrible to you, and when I saw her tweet, I wanted to say something to stand up for you. It just didn't seem like you had anyone on your side! Where are you buddies to stand up for you when you're down? My best friend's name is Trey Greaver and he's constantly online with this whole Ashley thing trying to make me out to be a better person and to shut her and Liam down. It's nice and I do really appreciate it. Also, thanks for returning the favor with the whole defending on twitter thing.
If you want, you can also add me on Facebook. You don't have to, of course, but if you would like to, it's just Connor Hall. I'm one of the few that spell it with an "or", so your chances of finding me in Richmond Virginia are pretty high. Remember, Langston High School. In case you forgot. You don't have to add me though. I hear what you're saying about not being able to see me and how that makes it easier to open up, and so you just do what you feel comfortable doing. Sorry.
And yes, Friends is a great show. Joey's my favorite character, but Chandler is a close second. I also love The Office, and Parks and Recreation. Do you watch either of those? I think you would like April Ludgate if you watched Parks and Rec, just from your description of yourself. Oh, and Ron Swanson. They're great. And so are you! Now I'm being weird. I'm sorry.
Yours Truly,
Connor Hall
A/N: Happy Sunday, and Happy Mother's Day! Make sure to tell your mom how much you love her today! I hope you all enjoyed the chapter and let me know what you think!
