Leo was lost. He cranes his neck to look around the trees on the beach.
Where is she?
He walks onto the sand, gritting his teeth as the sand gets between his toes.
"Hey, Sunshine! Where are you?"
You take a nap once, what happens? You lose your girl. Typical.
Leo runs his fingers through his tangled hair, trying to get the machine oil out.
Calypso and he had been flying on Festus for 2 days straight.
His back hurt and his hands were blistered from holding onto his dragon for so long.
Leo sighs and goes back to the tree where he was sleeping.
He leans back against it and closes his eyes.
Suddenly, a splash of cold slaps his face, making him gasp.
Leo forces his eyes open and sees Calypso giggling uncontrollably.
"Surprise!"
Leo sees Festus off to the side, creaking and laughing.
He cracks a smile. He jumps up and grabs Calypso, pulling her in for a hug.
"Seriously, Sunshine?"
"Yes, Valdez. Seriously."
Calypso plants a kiss on his cheek then climbs onto Festus' back.
"Now let's go! I want to see the camp!"
Leo grins. "Be right there, Sunshine!"
