THANK YOU FOR ALL THE SUBMISSIONS. IM GOING TO TRY TO CATCH UP SO FORMS ARE CLOSED FOR NOW. IF YOU ENTER I WILL IGNORE YOU
I will read around 3 chapters of your story, maybe more and maybe less depending on how much I like it. In those 3 chapters, you're going to have to convince me that it's worth to keep reading.
In the critique, you'll be judged on
First Impression: What was the first thing that popped into my mind once I saw your cover and read your blurb?
Hook: If I didn't have to read 3 chapters of your story, and I was a normal reader, would I click on your story and start reading it? Are your cover, title and summary interesting? Are the first few paragraphs great? I have the attention span of a mayfly on drugs, so if you don't have me hooked within the first few paragraphs, I drop the book. Don't even give it a second chance. So if you manage to trap me in your story, you'll be pretty good for other, more dedicated readers.
Plot: Is the plot itself interesting, unique and does it make sense?
Language: I'm not a Grammar Nazi
nor an editor, therefore I'm not going to bite your head off if you miss a comma. My rule basically is if I can understand what you're trying to say, you're good.Characters: This is an important one. If I don't like or sympathise with the characters I'm supposed to relate to, I'm out.
How Cliche Your Story Is: on a scale of 1-10. 1 being completely original and 10 being a carbon copy of another story(ies).
How Well You Dealt With The Cliches: also on a scale of 1-10. Just because something's been done before doesn't mean you can't put your own original spin on it and make it interesting or hilarious.
Overall Grade: A to F. F is fail, A is awesome. Pretty simple.
These reviews are FREE because I don't have a social life and this is what I do for fun.
