Paradise Lost

*A month later*

All the guys were round Charlie and Johnny's discussing their up and coming Day of the Dead Europe tour. They were trying to figure out what songs they should add to their set-list. 

"I recon we should add a few songs from each album. What do you guys think?" J asked, looking at everyone's reaction. 

Charlie nodded, "Yeah, sounds like a good idea." 

They all got to working out which songs they would like to perform the most, of course adding their most popular, 'Undead' and 'Everywhere I go'. It was then that Charlie decided to get a few beers, bringing them back into the lounge and taking his place next to Johnny, shooting a glance at Matty who seemed a bit down. "You okay, Matty?"

Matty's eyes shot up, looking at his friend, "Yeah. Why would't I be?" 

Charlie shrugged, "Dunno, you just don't seem yourself."

"I'm tired, Okay! Is that a good enough fucking answer Charlie?" Matty said, suddenly snapping which shocked all the guys. Charlie found himself hurt from the sudden outbreak of anger, as he and Matty were as close as can be. 

Johnny stepped in, trying to calm the situation, "Hey, hey, he was just asking." 

"And who asked you to comment?" Matty threw back, glaring at Johnny. 

Okay, now Johnny had a problem. Matty was being a huge fucking dickhead! For no reason at all! Not for one he could see, anyway. "Just shut up."

Matty did end up being quiet, but sure made a show of it by getting up and storming off into the kitchen. 

"What's his problem?" Charlie said with a small laugh, opening a beer and downing it. Funny shrugged before following after Matty. 

"You his little bitch?" Charlie called after him, not understanding why a setlist conversation had ended in such dramatic fashion. Well, whatever.

"I fucking hate him!" Matty said as soon as Funny locked the kitchen door.

"Hate who..?" Funny asked, a bit confused. Surely none of the guys, right? 

"Charlie. He's so god damn annoying all the time," He replied, leaning against the kitchen counter and crossing his arms. 

Funny was a bit taken back, to be honest. There was no way Matt hated Charlie. Hell, Funny even though Matty loved him! Loved him, for Christs sake! "You don't hate him. Not charlie."

Matty shook his head, his curls slightly falling from underneath his hat. "Okay, I don't, but he is annoying."

"What's he done wrong?"

"He's never even with us anymore, man. He's always with Johnny and it pisses me off. I'm supposed to be his best mate and it's the first time in a month he's texted me to hang out. You know how happy I was?" Matty paused for a moment before continuing to speak, "That was until I found out it was a group meeting."

Funnyman laughed, shaking his head a bit, "Wow, thanks dude. Love you too."

Matty looked at Funny with a small smile, "You know I didn't mean it like that."

"I know, it's cool."

"Do you see where I'm coming from here?"

"I do, but you also did over-react a bit.."

Matty thought about it, "I guess I did. It's just because I care about him so much."

Funny nodded, kinda getting what Matty meant. "You always have loved Charlie, ain't ya?"

"What?"

"You know, it's always been that way. You and Charlie. You don't have to deny anything, not with me."

Matty's expression completely changed, trying to hide his true feelings. "I don't know what you're talking about."

"You kinda do, dude."

"Whatever," Matty replied, trying to say as little as possible.

"And that's why you're getting annoyed by him. Because you think he's replaced you. But he hasn't. He's always been close with Johnny, Matt. But he's also always been close to you. He loves you, man, whether you wanna believe it or not. So don't fucking mess with his head like that by being a dickhead."

Matty stared at Funnyman, trying to take in what was just said. "I should apologize, shouldn't I?" He acknowledged, already feeling bad about it.

Funny nodded, "Yeah, you should. Also tell him you miss him, might make him think a bit. And hey, I miss him too. It's okay to feel, you know."

Matty scoffed, "When's that ever gotten me anywhere? Feeling? Look where it got me with you."

Ouch.

That hit Funnyman hard. Like, it hurt. He was utterly speechless, just standing there. 

"I'll go and uh.. do that apologising..." Matty said as he walked out the kitchen, leaving a shocked Funnyman standing their to think about things.

Matty walked back into the lounge and saw all the guys laughing and genuinely having a good time, that was until he walked into the room. It fell silent. Charlie looked at him and smiled, standing up and grabbing his best friend, pulling him into a hug. "You're so gay," Charlie joked.

"Maybe," Matty said, wrapping his arms around Charlie and laughing. "I'm sorry for earlier. I was being a dick."

Charlie pulled away from the hug and put his hand on Matty's shoulder, the guys watching the situation with ease. "It's cool. Why did you get so mad though?"

"I guess it's cause I haven't spoken to you or seen you in a month." Matty replied, opening up a bit more about his feelings, because Charlie managed to do that. 

"HA, GAAAAAAAY!!" Danny shouted out, falling back into his chair with a fit of laughter, Johnny joining in. 

Charlie rolled his eyes, "I missed you too. All you had to do was ring me, you know. I love seeing you. I'm never to busy for my best mate! Hey, how about we forget this happened and have a rocking tour?! And maybe we can find you a fucking girlfriend while we're at it. What do you say about that?" Charlie asked, trying to make his friend happy, not realizing that's literally the furthest from what he wanted.

"Cool..."

Meanwhile, Funnyman was still in the kitchen, smoking some weed to try and forget what Matty had said to him. He was literally the the worst person in the world. Why did he even bother?

A/N: I am finally back! And this story is going to get sooooo much fun as the Europe tour will start! Anything you guys would like to see? I will post more regularly now. Probably weekly!

I met the guys on the 21st in Birmingham (UK) as I had bought a meet and greet ticket! They were soooo nice! They really were the sweetest. I had some very strange yet funny moments with them!
