The Kids

It was a week later and Charlie had found out about the whole Deuce situation. Luckily, he didn't flip out like they all thought he would, he just sulked for a while until Johnny hugged him and gave him some attention.

"It's alright," Johnny said, kissing the side of Charlie's face. Charlie leaned into his touch and tried so hard to frown and look grumpy but instead he began to smile which in turn got Johnny smiling, "See."

Matty just sat there with his arms crossed, accessing the whole situation. All they ever did on days off was go on their phones or laptops, they hardly even went to clubs anymore, which was a big problem. He suddenly thought of an idea and hoped the other boys would be up for it. "Let's do something fun today!" He announced loudly, making sure everyone heard him.

On cue, they all groaned, which to be honest, Matty expected. "Let's not," J countered.

"Why? Come on! I'm bored of sitting around all day," Matty huffed, messing with his hair.

"Why don't you just go out then?" J asked.

Matty looked at him like he was insane, "Uh, maybe because I have no friends out here other than you guys?"

J laughed, "Go make some then."

"Matty make friends? Not in a million years," Charlie joked, nudging Johnny.

Matty rolled his eyes, "Aren't you just hilarious? Look, I checked around and apparently there's a theme park around here somewhere. I thought it'd be fun for us all to do something together."

Everyone except Charlie said no like it was the most absurd idea in the world.

Matty sighed and looked at Charlie, hoping he'd help him out here, "Charlie?"

Charlie was kind of conflicted, he knew how much Danny hated rides but Matty had guided him when he needed help the most, so he just shrugged and said, "I'm in."

"Awesome!" Matty grinned, jumping up with excitement, "Alright everyone, let's go, it will be great, you'll all enjoy it, promise," he said, trying to sound encouraging.

Danny glared at Charlie but got up anyway, "How the fuck are we going to get there?"

Matty stopped in his tracks, "I never thought about that..."

"You idiot."

They did get there in the end and Matty was ecstatic. He was acting like a child, trying to get everyone to smile or at least show some interest. "This is going to be so fun!" He said, taking out his phone and snapping a few pics of them all.
