"It's not what it looks like.." Matty said desperately, getting up.

Charlie backed out of the room, a bit confused but mostly shocked.

"Charlie, wait," Matty said, walking forward to grab onto Charlie whilst Funny just looked on, not knowing what to do or say.

"Don't you fucking come near me, asshole," he warned, making sure no contact was made between them. Matty looked hurt, deciding to just stay back.

"I swear to god, what you saw was nothing," Matty defended, still trying to lie. He didn't want Charlie of all people to know that he and Funny were kissing. No way. Charlie was cool and tolerant of stuff like that, but he knew his best friend wouldn't want anyone else in the band dating. And shit... Matty didn't even know if Funny really liked him or not. The only time they ever kissed was when he was high. Which is mostly always. This is so messed up.

"Yeah, sure," Charlie mocked, slowly calming down, "you just 'kiss' your friends, do ya? And you, fuck face, what you gonna say for yourself?" Charlie asked, glancing over to look at Funny.

Funny shrugged, looking at Matty before answering, "We were just hanging out, man. Want some weed?" he asked, holding the bag up.

"You really think I want some weed right now?! Fuck you two. I'm just gonna pretend I never saw this. It didn't happen," Charlie stated, re-adjusting his cap and turning around and walking out, slamming the door behind him. He'd only made it to the stairs when he was suddenly stopped, Matty appearing in front of him, holding his arms out beside him. "Get out of my way or I'll push you down the stairs."

"You wouldn't do that," Matty said, sure of his words. Charlie loved him. No way.

"Wanna bet?" Charlie threatened, trying to push his friend to the side but it just wasn't happening. "Please, Matty. I said I wasn't going to say anything."

Matty sighed, feeling defeated all of a sudden. He knew if Charlie ever found out he'd react bad, but not this bad. "Can we talk somewhere? Hear me out, man. I'll tell you the truth, I swear."

Charlie thought about it for a moment before shrugging, "Sure. Let's go to the bathroom and lock it."

Matty raised his eyebrows at that. "Bathroom?"

Charlie caught on, knowing what Matty was insinuating, "You wish!" He laughed, dragging Matty into the bathroom which was surprisingly not occupied. He shut the door behind them and saw Matty get down on his knees, making a pass for Charlie's trousers, then suddenly burst out laughing at the expression on Charlie's face.

"I was just messing. I know you love Johnny," Matty said in between laughs, getting up and patting his friends shoulder. "So, about me and funny. One night, we were out. You and the other guys were staying at the tour bus. And we just, you know.. kissed."

Charlie raised his eyebrows. Nah. There had to be more to the story then that! "That's it?"

"Not exactly. We kissed in a nightclub when we were both drunk. But then we did it again the night after. And again..,"

"Yeah, I get you," Charlie cut in, before coming to a sudden realization. "So that's why you two aren't around a lot with us."

"Yeah.. um, we don't really like each-other or anything."

"You don't?"

"Okay. Well I kinda like him, but Funny isn't really interested much," Matty said a bit sadly.

"If he's been kissing you dude, he likes you. I wouldn't put my mouth on another man if I didn't like him, you get what I mean?"

Matty nodded, feeling a bit more hopeful. Charlie always had been able to be the only person to make him feel better. "Yeah, yeah. Thanks."
