"Here goes," J-Dog said, bringing his hand up to knock the door.
It was 9 in the evening and he, Matty and Funny were standing outside Deuce's house. They were all kinda nervous, not because they were scared but because it was Deuce. Deuce they hadn't seen in so long. Deuce, their old best friend. Deuce that they had kicked out of the band. Shit.
"Coming!" Deuce shouted. A few seconds passed and the door was opened. He looked the same. Looked pretty good, actually. "Come on in.." he said, stepping back and watching as the three boys walked inside. "Where the fuck is the rebound?" He asked, clearly still jealous over the whole Danny thing.
"He's busy," was all J-Dog said. Danny didn't want to come, he just didn't want to cause any-more trouble and so stayed at the tour bus with Charlie and Johnny, speaking of those two..
"Where are the fags?" He asked with a little laugh before shutting the door and leading them into the lounge. "I'm just kidding," he said when they all glared at him, "but seriously, where are they?"
Funny and Matty took a seat next to each-other, Matty chewing his gum and Funny pulling out his phone. Wow, thanks for the support, J thought.
J shrugged, "They didn't need to be here."
Deuce raised his eyebrows, a small smile on his face, "No? I thought this was all about them, namely, what I know about them. And I know some pretty damning stuff man."
"You know nothing, Deuce. Nothing. And you need to keep your mouth shut."
Deuce made his way over to his cabinet and pulled out four glasses and a bottle of wine, before looking over his shoulder, "Nah, I don't think I do. I can say what I want now, and you can't stop me," he said, filling all the glasses. "Wine?"
In another circumstance, J would most likely laugh at the choice of drink Deuce chose, but he was to angry to laugh. "Fuck you," J said, wanting to go over there and smash Deuce's face in. Like last time. But this was Deuce's house and this guy was fucking insane, he could pull out a gun or anything. It wouldn't be surprising at all.
Funny finally spoke up and glanced up from his phone, "Cut the crap. We're here because we don't want you chatting shit about us on Social media anymore. It's over, Deuce."
Deuce laughed manically, "What you did was fucking unfair, man. What you all did. Especially you," he said, staring straight at J-Dog. "How could you betray me like that?"
J glanced away from his stare and stuffed his hands in his trouser pockets, "You messed us around. We had no choice."
"Yeah, Charlie had to sing all your parts. It was a good thing he knew them or else we'd have been screwed. You betrayed us if anything," Matty commented, blowing a bubble with his gum and popping it a second later.
"The manager called me and told me that the tour was cancelled, that the band was over. It wasn't my fault," Deuce defended, eyes still cast on J-Dog who looked pissed as hell.
"Why do you keep lying? You didn't turn up at the airport. I called you a thousand times and you didn't answer. Anyway, it doesn't matter now cause you're out of the band and we have someone else."
Silence.
"Look, we're here because we want you to stop talking about us. It's not that hard."
Deuce shook his head, "You only got in contact with me because you saw the tweet about Charlie and Johnny. Bet you want to know how I found out, huh?"
J, Funny and Matty looked at each-other, nodding before looking at Deuce who just smiled. "Thought so. Well, One of my friends saw them the other day. They were quite close. She called me up and told me."
"That's it? You heard they were close and you just assumed they were together?" Matty asked sceptically.
"Oh come on! We've all known for years about how they really felt about each-other. That call just confirmed it. Well..," he said after a moment, taking a sip of his drink, "I have some people coming over so if you'd all kindly leave the property.."
"Just promise you won't talk about us again. Ever," J-Dog demanded, crossing his arms.
"Fine, whatever. I'm bored of you all anyway," Deuce said almost to easily.
J still didn't believe that Deuce would just give up the hate campaign but he'd heard enough and just wanted to get out of here. He looked at Funny and Matty who were getting up. "Good. We'll leave now," he said, all three walking to the door.
"Tell the fags I said heeeeeeyyyy," Deuce said in a feminine voice which made J turn around and punch him in the face. Deuce fell back and bought his hands up to his face, his cheek already reddening.
"What the fuck?"
"You deserved that, asshole," J shouted, pushing Matty and Funny out the door.
So much for a non violent meeting... this probably won't be the end. The beginning of the end, more like.
Hey everyone! This is a shorter chapter than the others but I wanted to update. Deuce is bit of a dick in this, sorry.. ;) I'll try and update sooner. Thanks for reading!
