Chapter 1: Trip To Doom

Lucy Martin was Thinking she was late for school, but yet, There was no school, it was summer break. But she was not fully aware of how its her birthday. Lucy rolled to the side of her bed, sleepily. She groaned as she fell on her arm -when she accidentally fell off the bed- she got up quickly, because it was brighter than usual at the time she woke up. She gazed at the clock, 7:44. She was going to be late for the non-existing school day. She quickly rushed to get ready. Once she was ready she hurried down stairs for breakfast. She saw her brother and parents sitting calmly at the table, "come on guys, were late!" i went to the cupboard and grabbed the Nutella along with a glass, and a plate. "Late for what?" i heard my mom answer. i grabbed a butter knife from the drawer "for school mom, seriously?" I toasted the bread and went to pour my juice. "Lucy there is no school today and its summer break..." oh. I sighed. I took the toast and put the Nutella on it. "seriously! You don't know what today is!" ugh my brother, Lucas is so annoying! He can't mind his own business "why can't you ever shut your trap Lucas?" I and him are twins. We both have brown, straight hair, and nice tanned skins. I try not to wear the same clothes as him but he even have a pink shirts to get on my nerves! And he knows I hate it. "because I don't have to dumb one. Why do you ask so many questions?" really? We were born 12 minutes apart. That does not help the situation at all though. "because I can!" I was getting angry. Summer break was not off to a good start. "hey, hey, guys let's have a nice breakfast" my dad is the calmest in the family. I grabbed my food and sat at the end of the table. Opposite from my brother. I scrawled in his direction. He rolled his eyes in response. "I thought you knew it was your birthday dear, every year we go out to a different place, we are going to America. Is that not exiting or what?!" wow I want to go to Florida keys! "cool mom thanks!" we had a bit of a chatty breakfast then went to pack. We took a taxi to the airport and boarded our plane. Surprisingly we had first class. I fell asleep during the flight but woke up and came off. I noticed it was fairly deserted. We stuck with the plan to go to my uncle's house. Once we arrived we tried entering but he would not answer. We climbed in through the window and saw him slowly moving towards the door. We greeted him and he would be having a hoarse voice, and he was sneezing and pale pretty much all the time. Also when he coughed it was raspy and blood would come from his mouth. Suddenly he collapsed onto the floor. My mom hurried to grab the phone. My uncle looked so much paler -if that was possible- and his eyes became whiter.  My mom came back and ordered my father to grab his legs, while she grabbed his arms. They brought him to the car while she explained the hospital did not answer the phone, neither the police. We roamed around the deserted town, searching for the hospital. Once we found it and lost most panic, we walked in to only see nobody, and there was chairs thrown around in the lobby. I will be honest. I was scared. "Doctor! Doctor!" we turned a corner and saw a group of people, they were pale and had creepy, pure white eyes. they had gthrough there flesh. They approached us slowly, "we need a doctor! Stop acting and get one!" my mom was getting upset and worried. "can you get those stupid masks off!" my dads voice was angry. At this stage my brother would get upset. A weird thought crossed my mind - they looked a lot like zombies- I mentally slapped myself for thinking that. Lucas then approached the man in front and grabbed at his mask... or face, or whatever "you cant fool me! take those masks off!" but the person BIT into his neck at he shrieked. My parents went to help him but i heard a human voice! I ran down the hall to a room where the voice was coming from. It was a TV. The news man was declaring that there were people who got sick, and had the symptoms of a fever who would then become dead, and come back to the living world where they looked a lot like zombies. He said this is most likely to be the end of the world, ending with a zombie apocalypses. NO WAY! WHAT!?
