After practicing our gun skills. When Brook taught Lilly how to get easy bulls eye on her target. Me and Natalia even competed against each other. We came up stairs and to the kitchen and had a apple or banana each. Me and Natalia discussed our old lives and Brook got upset at me and said "okay, this is our new lives. We don't discuss the old perfect lives we had before. Got it, Lucy?... Natalia? Got it?" at that point we just nodded and stayed silent. Around 5 minutes later Brook stood up silently and put his index finger to his mouth and said to be quiet. Well, mouthed the words. I did the same but said "shhh" to Lilly. He gave us a hand motion instructing us to follow him. We went upstairs quietly and to his room. He then said quietly but firmly "under the bed and in the drawers get the weapons and food and put em' in the duffel bags under the supplies. Quickly!" we then did as he said and just before we were done we all heard a gun shot piercing through a window we all looked at each other. Lilly ran to my side and i passed her the supplies (and weapons for that fact) and she put them in the bag. Brook helped Natalia. I heard 5 pairs of foot steps echo through the house. We hurried up and grabbed the bags we packed. We quickly ran out of the room and down the hall to the stairs. As we ran down the stairs, our shoes made loud noises against the white marble stairs. "over here!" I heard a grown men's voice ring out louder than our foot steps. I don't know why, but I reconized the voice. We reached the bottom of the stairs and Natalia yelled in worry "Lilly!" I looked back to see her holding a bag and in the other hand she held the bar leading down the stairs. I dropped the bags and the next thing I knew I grabbed the bag she was holding and picked Lilly up with my other hand. "catch!" I ordered Natalia to catch the duffle bag I was holding while I threw it down the stairs and to her. She caught it while I ran down the stairs. There was still one quarter left, when the five men I heard earlier appeared and aimed guns at us. I tried running away, but in order to do that I would have to get at the bottom of the stairs. So I ran at top speed down the stairs begging God not to let me trip. Anything but trip down these steps. Anything. I got to the bottom of the steps and heard a teenage man like voice cry "No! Don't shoot her!" he was going to shoot? To protect a-girl-who-is-like-a-sister-but-is-the-youngest-friend-i-ever-had I turned my back to the shooter and clutched Lilly protectivly in my arms. Then I heard it. Two gun shots. I tightend my grip on Lilly. I felt the hot metal bullet pierce through my flesh of my nearby rib-cage, and lower neck. In pain, I cried out and dropped Lilly, sending her tumbling down the two steps. I was dazed. My vision turned white... Then pink... Then red... Then black. I heard the room erupt with screaming and gun shots. But it all faded. My knees cola pears under my and I fell down the steps. My heard them throbbed with pain when my head hit the floor. After that, I blacked out.
