Life was difficult when it came to being in Midgar. No matter who you were, you had to take orders from someone on a higher level then you. Probably the only one not taking orders was the President, and the President was the highest in power. Other than that, when you recieve orders, you do it; or else you get things taken away from you. Your family, your money, even your life. Me? It's really all of the above. When orders are given to me, there ain't nothin' I can do about it. No matter what job it might be, I have to go and do it. You try quitting, you get killed. Simple as that. Now, a normal person would hear this and say: "That's rediculous! If you want to quit, then do it! The company has no right to just kill you if you do!" A 'normal' company would agree. Unfortunatly, this is Shinra we're talking about here. If you quit, you automaticaly die. You know why? It's because it's for the sake of the company. If you leave, then get yourself captured, you could be forced to spill the beans on your company's secrets. And Shinra HATES that. Shinra is the leading government in all of Midgar; if it were to fall, anarchy would certianly follow in result. So this is why I can't quit and live to tell about it. Don't even bother asking why I decided to join Shinra in the first place, because I don't exactly know myself. I guess it was my only choice.
