Aubrey's pov
----"Hey!" I called out, swimming after Calypso, catching up quickly in the water. "Hey, Stop!"
"Hurry we need to get back!" She called back, slipping on her shoes, pausing for me to following.
"Just tell me al already, I'm sick of weird thing happening and you guys not telling me what's going on!" I yelled at her, pulling on my jumper and shoes before jogging after her.
"Look, I'll explain when we get back but at the moment we're at serious risk!" She answered with a sidelong glance.
"What are we at risk from?" I begged, slowing to a fast walk.
"Look, I would love to tell you, but if you knew we would be more at risk." She said and shoved my shoulder to move me along faster. I sighed and started sprinting after her.
We sprinted as fast as possible for about ten minutes, it brung me back to memories of anymore class at school, but this time I was hungry, wet (which wasn't too bad in my opinion), cold and had started to tire since the swim. My breath had become ragged but I would take this over the alleyway attack any day.
I the distance, through the trees, I saw what looked like a campfire, but as we got closer I was dead wrong, Leo was sitting on a park bench next to the path, his hands and torso were alight with flame, Calypso was unfazed, it took me a moment to react, my brain still trying to make sense of it.
"How... What...?" I tried to shamble for something to someone who was on fire... But also not.
"Oh, hey you guys came back quick." Leo said, the flames dimmed a bit as if he was controlling them. "You guys are going to be impressed at how much I got done, I'm on... Fire."
He cracked up laughing, and I let a small smile form on my lips at the corniness of his joke.
"Leo I don't have time, something h-" Calypso stopped, then started again much calmer. "Is Festus ready? We need to go now."
A metallic click came from in the think shrub.
"Yeah your right, but no it's not going to work unless-" Leo was cut off by more clicks, and I knew that he answering them. "Your right, that could work and I could fix you up there with the proper tools..."
Leo went into deep thought for a few seconds. "Yeah ok, but we might have to have a break half way through the trip."
"Leo, we can't stop during the trip, she is putting us at too much risk!" She met Leo's eyes, and his smile faded, so did the fire.
"You mean she was claimed?" He asked and Calypso nodded, they seemed to have forgotten my presence, great thanks, don't worry about the girl that was attached by some weird monster a few days ago. "Who?"
"We were in the water and..." She sighed and cursed in a language I didn't recognise before continuing. "Poseidon."
"De ninguna manera ... eso es increíble !" (No way... That's amazing!)He gasped, they both turned to me, Leo reached up and touched something on his head... Goggles that were smeared with grease, he tapped a part that looked like a button and a small light popped on. He leaned in really close to my face and squinted, like he was trying to be dramatic.
