Chapter 4: Brother-dear

Audrey's pov

To say I was nervous was an understatement, I was terrified. Yeah ok, I guess Leo should be the one terrified because there was a 50/50 chance that these friends of his would kill him, but I was still scared that, A) he's friends would turn on me after they finished him and I'd have to go into witness protection and B) that my 'brother' would hate me.

The second the teens rounded the corner into the lounge, it was like the ultimate staring competition, we were all taking each other in. There were six of them, a super emo dude who looked like he didn't know what sleep was, a caramel skin girl with a friendly-ish face a frizzy hair, a buff Chinese dude who looked like a teddy bear with extreme muscles, a guy with blonde hair, glasses and a scar on his lip, a girl with blonde hair and stormy grey eyes, finally there was a boy with green eyes and black hair... Just like mine. That's definitely Percy.

"Leo?" The girl with darker skin asked, tears welling up in her yeyes.

"Yeah it's me Hazel, I'm sorry to say but your not the only zombie anymore." He said with a laugh, Hazel let out a sob and ran towards him, enveloping him in hug that he returned without hesitation, the others all crowded around, I had never been very good with this stuff so I turned my attention to the tiger head (I think it's a tiger) mounted on the wall above the dying fire, it seemed to be snoring but it was the weirdest thing I've seen this past year.

"S-so the cure worked?" The blonde girl asked, wiping tears away, Percy wrapped an arm around her, they were definitely close.

"Well, I think so." Leo said, patting himself down as best he could with the girl, Hazel, hugging him, the guy with glasses slapped Leo on the back (in a friendly sort of way).

"Stop fooling around Leo, we want to know everything." He said, even though he was smiling (slightly) he's eyes were emotionless.

"Yeah well, maybe Pipes wants to know about what happened as well, really Jason, your so selfish, you can expect to have the super sized McSizzel all to yourself!" Leo exclaimed mockingly, the others laughed but Calypso and I studied him, she was probably thinking the same thing as me; Leo was different, around he's friends he changed from what he was like with us to a happy-go-lucky kid. Neither of us said anything.

"Good point, Jason, would you please get Piper?" Chiron finally asked, Jason just nodded, glancing again at he's returned friend before turning down the hall.

Hazel had finally let go, she was currently scolding Leo for being reckless, the teddy bear dude had he's arm wrapped protectively around her waist, both of them were smiling with tears in their eyes.

"W-when I saw the explosion, I thought you were dead!" Hazel whispered, wiping tears from her eyes.

"We all did." Teddy bear said, hugging Hazel, they were obviously close.

"Well, I'm shocked, you guys are smarter the I thought, because yes, I did die, only because of the screaming fire ball, do you guys mind explaining why it screamed like a little girl?" Leo asked, the blonde girl was glaring daggers at him, even glaring she still looked beautiful, beautiful but deadly. "Whoa, whoa, Annie, no need to kill anyone!"

"Annabeth, Leo, not Annie." She huffed, but still she managed to smile. "Welcome home, Valdez."

A female voice chattered away near to the entrance of the room, everyone turned towards the door, Leo sat up he's fingers fiddling in he's lap with god knows what, Calypso sat with perfect posture, her perfect features eliminated by the soft light, they both looked extremely brave while I was here trying, no, I was praying that I could be eaten by the couch under Percy's stare, my 'brother' was studying me carefully but it was obvious he wasn't able to piece everything together while Annabeth was watching the both of us, an amused smile on her face like my brothers idioticness was something that happened a lot.
