"Alright Cleric Beast... let's see if you've gotten stronger."

The beast lets out a loud screech and slams its claws towards Hunter, he quickly dodged it in time with barrel roll, getting behind it, giving two charged swings. The beast was slightly pushed forward, a little staggered, seeing an open opportunity, Hunter pulled out his gun and shot at the beast's head, with the impact the beast fell to his knees, Hunter quickly plunged his axe through the beast, instantly killing it.

"Hm... That was quite a quick battle."

Once the beast's corpse vanishes, a lamp took its place, Hunter walks towards it and lit it up. He looked to see where (y/n) was, who was sitting at the end of the bridge, looking a little tense. Walking towards her as he hastily tries to wipe the blood, so he'd look presentable for (y/n). Hunter held his hand out to her, she gasps and gets up.

"I can't believe you fought that huge thing! Are you hurt anywhere?!"

"No no, I'm alright Miss (y/n) there's no need to worry about me~"

"But you fought it all by yourself!"

"It was not too hard to handle~ Though I appreciate your concern for me, Miss (y/n). Now come on, we need to head to the sewers."

"The sewers? Why specifically there?"

"That's the only way to reach the Cathedral Ward. Would you like me to carry you so you wouldn't get dirty from the muck?"

"I think I can handle it."

"You sure Miss (y/n), a beautiful woman shouldn't get herself all dirty."

"Well a strong woman wouldn't mind."

"Heh, well then, let's get going."

~(y/n)'s P.O.V~

Hunter held my hand and made our way to the building to the left of the bridge. Odd. What was the reason to go to the end of the bridge? Was it so he could fight the beast? Once we entered the building we quickly went down the stairs and were intermediately attacked by a huntsman, the sword was about to strike at me, but it hit Hunter instead. He had move me aside and got himself hurt. Hearing a grunt from him, he took a quick strong swing of his axe and kills the huntsman.

"H-Hunter are you ok?!"

"I'm fine. Please lets just move on."

I noticed that he's becoming more persistent on hurrying to the Cathedral Ward. Is it because I'm becoming a nuisance? Does he really just want to take me to a safe place quickly so that I no longer get in his way? .....I don't really know now... Hunter opens the door to the right of us and we made our way past through the dogs, and the buildings. There were some strong beasts that did a number on Hunter but he still kept going strong and me with no scratches. We then reached the sewers. Hunter was getting down from the ladder. As I waited for him to reach the bottom, I looked around to see a bunch of long dead bodies just lying down. Hunter extended his axe, giving two swings at the bodies, it hit them and they awake, groaning as they reached for him, he quickly killed all of them. Hunter wipes off the muck and motions me to get down the ladder. Getting down the ladder, Hunter was clearing out the sewers of anything dangerous. We had to go up another ladder. Hunter hurriedly got to the top and helped me up.

"We're almost there Miss (y/n). Just at the end of this bridge and out of the Tomb of Oedon, we'll reach the Cathedral Ward. Where you'll be safe.... Oh dear forgive me. You've got a little something on your cheek."

"Huh? Where?"

I was about to feel my cheeks but he stopped me. He dig through his pockets to pulled out a handkerchief and started cleaning my cheek. His face was very close to mine, I could even feel heat radiating from him. Though Hunter was too focused on cleaning my cheek he didn't realize how close he was. When he was done he looked at me in the eyes. I looked at the features of his eyes and noticed tiny red dots in the middle of his pupils.

"Woah! You have really cool eyes!"

"........W-Wha? Oh my. I'm so sorry."

Realizing he was close he backed off a bit and gave me a shy smile, his cheeks slightly flushed red.

"I didn't realize I was so close to you. But.. Er.... T-thank you... For the compliment. A-anyways we should hurry and get you to safety. The sooner the better, right now you wait here till the path is clear."

Hunter turned, but I quickly grabbed his sleeve. I looked down, a little shy to ask him a question.

"You seem to be in such a hurry for me to get to safety. Am slowing you down? ....Am I a Nuisance?"

Hunter sighs and looks at me with soothing, comforting blue eyes.

"My dear (y/n), you were never a nuisance to me... ever since we met... If anything I really do enjoy your company...with you by my side..... it keeps me sane... I'd love to have more of your presence...but... With the day getting darker, things become even more dangerous...and because of that. I can't bear the sight of you getting hurt. That is why I want you to be safe. I know what I have been saying and what I have been doing seems a little hasty, but please do understand that you are no nuisance to me. And you'll never will be. I just want you safe, love."

"Hunter...I.."

"shh.. Don't say more, we can have all the time to talk when we reach the Cathedral Ward."

Hunter smiles, giving a soft kiss on my forehead. He quickly ran down the bridge, nearly approaching the mob of huntsman, though just before getting close, he quickly ran back? A huge flaming ball came rolling down, smashing the mob of huntsman while Hunter was able to dodge it, he then proceeded to clear the path ahead then comes back and motions me that the coast is clear. We walked up the stairs and stopped at the entrance of the Tomb. There was a man in black clothing at the center of the Tomb, chopping off the head of the huntsman. Hunter readies his axe and looks at me.

"I recommend you step back for a bit, wouldn't want bullets flailing about and hitting you."

"You're going to fight him?"

"I have no other choice."

"But... H-he's a hunter isn't he? He should be on our side."

"Even so, it doesn't mean that it will keep him from lusting for blood, I'll be sure to give him a quick death."

"Tha-... But..."

"You'll see what I mean."

Hunter walks towards the man who stopped chopping, the man mutters something surprisingly I was able to hear it.

"...Beasts all over the shop... You'll be one of them, sooner or later..."
